Good experience but nothing like past experiences

Overall a good stay at the resort. I was there for only one night to meet friends and have dinner. The room was perfect as usual but I was very disappointed that the regular bar was close. We like to sit on the patio, have drinks and look at the mountain. There were signs that weren't very clear on where the "replacement" bar was located and after wandering around and asking we found it was located in what was the old Corn Maiden restaurant. I think better signage would have easily fixed this issue. There were no signs at the Corn Maiden area and you just had to figure out where to go. We had dinner reservations for the Santa Ana Cafe. We had called earlier in the week to get a reservation and had trouble getting the hostess to understand what day the reservation was for. When we arrived we found it was on the wrong date. Luckily the restaurant was far from busy, so we didn't really need the reservation. The menu was nothing like I had seen in the past but the last time I was at the resort was pre-covid. The selections and food we passable but nothing like my previous experience. Overall it was a very good experience but for the level of hotel this is supposed to be, I was a bit disappointed in some of the changes that weren't to the level I would expect from a resort like the Tamaya. The room itself was top-notch and the front desk staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. Hopefully things will improve for the peak tourist season and they will get things like they were before.

    Staycation

Excellent, very beautiful and private spot near home where we celebrated our anniversary. The room, the food, the atmosphere and special offerings for Memorial Day weekend were above and beyond. The service was impeccable and each staff asked what they could do to help or guide us as needed. We would be back anytime we can.

    Quick Tamaya Stay

Would have liked to have enjoyed a drink from the bar to enjoy the view of the beautiful Sandia's but that's been under construction for years now. Only one option for dinner and one option for lunch. Restaurant seemed to be thrown together, looked like it wasn't used intentional for that purpose. Not a fan for the price you pay. Won't be returning.

    Respite stay

Stayed two nights on my own to get some respite time. The view of the Sandia’s was beautiful. The pool was great, however the room was dated, towels torn , overall didn’t feel cleaned very well. The bottles of wine were highly overpriced the room I payed for was highly overpriced for the quality. No travel sized soaps to take home was in a pre filled jar. The presentation of the room was sub- par. The pillows seemed out of place. The carpet dated. Nothing special for an over grand stay for two nights .

    Not the same

We have been visiting here for 12 years now and each time we go it seems to go down hill. Food options are limited, their high end wonderful restaurant Corn Maiden is no longer open. They use to offer you a margarita at check in but no longer, adult pool was not clean. I really hope it gets back to where it used to be.
