Great weekend away - close to everything!
Great location and very helpful staff. Rooms are clean and have a nautical feel about them. Staff were very helpful very early check in and the parking station is directly across the street. The Jackalberry made a delicious margarita also!

Typical Hyatt in a good location
Nice hotel with comfortable beds. Convenient location. Room service food was excellent. Rooms are a touch on the small side, especially the bathroom. Modern decor. Good free wifi. Can easily walk from Wynyard station. Ubers/ Taxis come in a couple of minutes.

Great hotel!
The stay was great and as expected from a Hyatt Regency. Excellent location, close to most things and overall a very nice hotel. I can’t say I was a fan of the twin beds, which seems to be common in Australia, but otherwise, my stay was very good and I’d recommend this hotel.

Didn't Meet Our Expectations
We booked the Hyatt Regency in Sydney as the last night of a trip overseas, as a bit of a luxury treat. It claims to be 5 star but it wasn't by a long shot. We arrived after a late flight. I had booked a twin room because I was travelling with my teen son. On check in I was given a king room that hadn't been split yet. I was told this was a better room despite being on the first floor that 'might be noisy' (given there were a bunch of Xmas functions on). We went to our room down long, shabby, scuffed corridors and waited and waited. No one came to 'split the room'. I had to go back to reception where there was a huge line waiting and the person who helped me promised they'd arrange the split. An hour or more later (we went for a walk) the room was as it should've been. The room itself was nice, the beds and bedding comfortable but the blinds not that great. The bathroom had a broken light. The toiletries were minimal and not what I think about for a five star hotel. There was no complimentary water or anything. The coffee in the room was instant, the tea the same as they have Rydges. Traffic could be heard from the street. If this was a four star hotel, I'd be more forgiving but as whole it all just lacked polish and that bit extra that makes it special. I won't be rushing back.

Visit Sydney
Centrally located. Very short walk to shops, pedestrian street, attractions and fitness facilities. Fantastic promenade for many kilometers and excellent for running and walking to the Opera and famous bridge. We will absolutely come back to this City and the same hotell.
