Honestly big name in the game when you stay at the hyatt, but they didn't back it up nor the service or worth the cost. I expected more.

A bit disappointing . I booked for three rooms for a special event . But there was a cockroach in one of our guest's room and disturb their sleep.

From the pick up at Kingsford Smith to the put down, the Hyatt acted as a well oiled machine, helping and supporting my onward journey. On arrival, the reception was most helpful and flexible, and I was ushered up to the Club room for breakfast, and much earlier than I expected, my room was available. The staff in the club lounge were all lovely and highly responsive, and the food was of good quality. One evening, there was a muling child in the lounge, and overall, the atmosphere was a little like a canteen rather than a quiet adult experience. To be honest, the people create the atmosphere, not the hotel. This is a change not confined to the Hyatt or Sydney. So why not give the hotel five stars? I have never stayed in a room where in the room I can hear conversations up and down the corridor, and often I felt there was some kind of cleaning room convention going on outside my door with their cleaning trolleys being endlessly trundled back and forth. There is something about the acoustics in the corridor and no door seals, which means there is effectively no noise insulation. I wore earplugs to get to sleep, and not to be after the event, I spoke with a member of the club lounge on the last day, who said this had not been mentioned before. It was a question, not a request for action, so she is not at fault because, short of telling everyone to remain silent, nothing would have made any difference. Ironically, I am sitting typing this in my next location, where this issue is absent, and interestingly, the doors have a seal all around them, though traffic in the corridors is much lower. I thoroughly enjoyed the view of the Harbour, the fireworks at 9 pm were spectacular and everything I needed out of the stay was achieved.

Perfect location. Staff were all excellent and so helpful. We could not ask for more despite the hotel being very busy. Clean and tidy throughout.

Amazing Location with Easy Access to Sydney Icons
Great location with friendly, attentive staff and excellent service. It’s so easy — you just step out of the hotel and you can walk along Darling Harbour towards the Bridge and Opera House, which really makes the stay feel that little bit more special
