Mar 21, 2026An excellent hotel for Sydney Darling Harbor activities
Excellent location for sightseeing and a well appointed hotel with excellent service. The hotel is very clean, check in was prompt considering there were so many people checking in at the same time. Staff were knowledgeable about the area and ready to help with directions. Dining options are plentiful and well executed.

Great location but rooms are very poorly appointed and bathrooms are not clean. Not a single drawer, skimpy shelves, no bathroom counter space, only 2 USB ports and only one worked. Front desk was able to find one plug in adapter for us. Bath had mold in sink drain and overflow, and shower had mold in many areas. Beautiful lobby, etc. but NOT a first class hotel when it comes to rooms. Not what one would expect from Hyatt.

Mar 15, 2026disappointing experiences that fell far below the standard expected of a Hyatt property.
1. Unprofessional Front Desk Staff Upon check-in, the front desk agent appeared untrained and lacked professionalism—almost like an intern. I had to remind them that my room had already been upgraded to a Regency Club room, and that my parents and I should all have access to the lounge. This should have been communicated proactively. 2. Unrequested Rollaway Bed Upon entering my room, I found a rollaway bed set up, even though I had never requested one. It gave the impression that the room had been prepared for someone else, and no one bothered to double-check. 3. Rude Breakfast Host The breakfast host, Dani, was extremely unprofessional and impolite. She seated guests without acknowledging them, didn’t bother to check if we were following, and made no effort to offer coffee or tea. When I said "thank you," she didn't respond at all. Basic hospitality was completely absent. 4. Parking Charge Confusion – Poor Communication from Management At checkout, I was told I needed to pay AUD 240 for parking. As a Globalist member, I expected complimentary parking—especially after I had explicitly asked via email prior to arrival and received a response saying: “Please direct to Bell Desk to validate parking ticket.” The Bell Desk also confirmed that parking would be free for Globalists. Despite this, the front desk agent and the duty manager insisted I had to pay. Only after I firmly pushed back—while rushing for an early morning flight—did they reluctantly waive the fee. I’ve stayed at many Hyatt properties around the world, and I have to say, the level of service and management at this hotel is shockingly poor. It’s clear that both training and communication are severely lacking.

Fantastic location, walking distance to all the public transport. We got harbour view room which is great. We took the airport express to town hall and it's easy walk from there.
