Our experience at this location had changed slightly, but the property is just so beautiful, that the minor issues were not that bad. We enjoy going to this place for so many, many reason. It is so close to everything that we was to take pleasure in.

Great location on the embarcadero, I recommend a room with a balcony and bay view. When the weather is nice it is so great to sit outside and enjoy morning coffee. we stayed here for a game at Oracle and it was perfect. We took Muni to get there and walked back. you can also catch a cable car and head down to fisherman's wharf

Mar 29, 2026Beautiful views, renovated rooms, but disappointing Globalist breakfast and other issues
Hotel is newly renovated and it looks very nice; big improvement over the old somewhat tired rooms. Lobby is still iconic. It's got a great location near the Ferry Building and easy access to BART and the rest of the Bay Area. The Regency Club gives a spectacular view of the bay and downtown. However, I give it just a "3". Globalists are forced to eat breakfast in the club, and there is just not enough space to provide much of a spread, and honestly the quality is meh. The main restaurant downstairs has a vastly better breakfast. It is a great view but breakfast is a big part of why we are loyal to Hyatt and in this area it's lacking for Globalists. Another incident also gave us a bit of a shock - I won't detail it but one of them was something we found in our room that was pretty disturbing. It's one of those things that can just happen, but then we found that housekeeping didn't put shampoo in our shower. That's just sloppy. The hotel management apologized profusely and compensated us, but I really hope this hotel would up their game a bit. Overall I love Hyatt but honestly in San Francisco there are no Hyatts that truly live up to the high brand standards that Hyatt has especially in Europe and Asia. It's frustrating to see such sloppiness in US Hyatts but SF is the poster child for lower brand standards. There are some Hyatts in the larger Bay Area we love, but in SF proper there is a gap. I say the above because I love the brand and hope the SF Hyatts up their game a bit.

A great choice in the Bay Area.
The hotel locates in a very convenient location, close to the pier 1 and financial district. The staff are pretty friendly yet professional. One of better choices in the Bay Area. If there was more personal touch, it would definitely 5 stars, however, I do not think I would demand it too much at this price range. Cheers!

Excellent stay!
Wonderful hotel, perfect location right where all forms of transportation converge. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, excellent food. It was also very quiet, so we were able to go to bed very early with no issues. This one is a sure bet!
