Feb 09, 2026An Aesthetic Resort Best Enjoyed in Ideal Weather
The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa offers visually appealing accommodations and a well-maintained property, including distinctive features such as live animals integrated throughout the resort. However, inclement weather significantly limited the ability to leverage the resort’s primarily outdoor amenities. In addition, sustained high winds in the conference areas adversely affected physician traffic and engagement during scheduled breaks, which reduced overall interaction and meeting efficiency. Despite these environmental constraints, the team adapted effectively and maximized the experience where possible.

Staff was friendly and warm welcoming. The room The food The atmosphere was all fantastic. My first visit to Hawaii and Maui Hyatt Regency set the bar pretty high. The grounds were very clean. Definitely check out the luau and the mini observatory. If you get a chance, go there! Top notch

Top Notch Resort Hotel
Top notch resort hotel. The room overlooking the pool was excellent. Whales could be seen off my balcony at all times of the day, and swimming in the ocean was easy access and turtles a plenty. The luau was excellent. Great entertainment, and would definitely recommend it. Extra special were the African penguins that have been resident for many years on the property. All employees were helpful and courteous, and did not treat me like just another customer in this large resort. Having a pool geared towards young children was also a plus, as the main pool was very pleasant with mostly adults. Would return if given the opportunity.

The Best Resort in Maui!!!!
We would like to comment on our fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa. We have stayed at this resort many times in the past and have always loved the property, amenities, and service. The people, from the management down to housekeeping, were very attentive to our needs, and made us feel at home. Owen, our bellman, was the best we’ve ever had. He was very hospitable and genuine, working to make our stay comfortable and without worry. He went out of his way to help us with our accommodations and address all of our needs. It was also wonderful to visit the staff in the Regency Club. Sandy, Lisalani, Alanna, Miki, Sharla, Cheney, Malia, Kuulia, and Dakota are to be commended for their high level of service. They treated us like family, and made sure that we were in the best of care. Alona, our bartender in the Umalu pool bar, was fantastic! He made outstanding drinks and conversation, ensuring our time very welcoming and enjoyable. Overall, our stay at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa was a true highlight of our Hawaiian vacation. We will definitely book future stays at this resort, and spread the word that this property is one of the best in the Hyatt portfolio.
