Eh
Front desk clerk unwelcoming, did not acknowledge hotel membership status. Our “garden view” was view of kids’ pool area, actually the shading covering of the pool area and a factory. Hotel was not full. We were offered upgrade for a fee (and we do have status). The Grill restaurant was great - both food and service.

An outstanding experience at the Hyatt - Huntington Beach, CA
It is a fantastic hotel - the rooms are clean, the staff friendly and helpful. There are plenty of restaurants, and the food quality is high. The room has excellent coffee, and Starbucks is also available on the property. I highly recommend staying at this property.

Phenomenal hotel and service.
Best experience ever in a hotel. Much better than Four Seasons. Everything was beyond my expectations. Incredible staff. Best room service food I have ever experienced. Everyone was super pleasant and accommodating. This was ,literally the best hotel experience I have had. Far superior to Four Seasons. Whoever is managing this hotel is creating a complete world class experience for guests.

Beautiful grounds
Had a special event at Watertable, the restaurant at the hotel, and so we booked a standard room and a suite. The service provided at the restaurant and at the hotel was top-notch. The grounds were immaculate; lawns and landscape were manicured; palm trees and sunset in front of the ocean was our backdrop at dinner. Both, and perhaps all, rooms have a balcony. Ours were towards the pool/garden but there are some that have ocean views. Rooms were clean and fairly large albeit slightly dated. Overall, our experience was amazing and 100% recommend.

Mediocre Birthday Stay
I booked this stay to celebrate my 40th birthday with my family. I indicated this when making my booking through the Hyatt website and my husband emailed the hotel as well (he never received a response from the hotel). There was no acknowledgement of my birthday when checking in which was a bit disappointing, but not a huge deal. My major issue was the room. I paid for a partial ocean view room, but when arriving at our assigned room, the view was blocked by a large tree in front of our balcony, there was no view at all apart from the tree! The room was also very dark, probably because of the large tree blocking the sun. Needless to say, it was incredibly disappointing. I went back to reception and they moved us into another room which was fine, but it was an inconvenience moving rooms with 2 young kids. I feel that the original room we were assigned should not be sold as a partial ocean view. There are many other hotels in the area, I don't think we'll be staying here again. With that being said, the hotel is very nice, the grounds are well kept and the pool is wonderful. The location is convenient and walkable to restaurants / shopping in the area. If you want to save some money on parking, the public lot across the street is $15/day and easy to access using the walking bridge over the PCH.
