This hotel is amazing. E Styles Rm 508

Hyatt Regency Galleria is an amazing hotel with a great staff. I truly enjoy my 11 day stay there. And the location was perfect. Plenty to do and plenty places to go around it. Right across the street was the mall. Thank you to everyone there who made my stay a great one…

    Good Rooms

Stay Report - 1/18 to 1/19 Location: The hotel is located adjacent to the Galleria Mall west of Downtown Houston.  It's right near the intersection of the I-610 Loop and I-69 so it's easy to get around.  The area around the hotel has a lot of stores and chain restaurants along with a number of other hotels.  The mall itself seems pretty upscale. Hotel: This is a way older Hyatt House than I'm used to.  All parking is in a garage located behind the hotel.  While there is direct access to the floors it is annoying parking by reception, checking in, driving to the lot (key card is required to access it) and then walking to your room.  Speaking of, one of the elevators was broken and the common areas are really dimly lit.  The hotel does have a nice little bar in the breakfast area and laundry facilities.  Check In: I arrived at 10:30 PM and was checked in.  I had been pre-upgraded and was given two bottles of water so I was happy. Room: As I mentioned I was upgraded from a studio suite to a one king suite.  It was actually a very nice room with a large living room and kitchen area plus a desk, separate bedroom with its own TV and a really large bedroom.  The Wifi also worked well, there was power near the bed, a blessedly hot shower and no issues with noise. Dining: As I mentioned there was a small bar.  Breakfast had a made to order waffle and omelet station plus scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, fruit, breads and cereal. Overall a decent stay.  If they'd fix the common area lighting and that elevator it would have been a very good stay.

    Very good hotel

The hotel was very comfortable and close to entertainment places. The service was exceptional and we got everything we needed. I booked for a wedding block and received special prices. The parking was very convenient because of the valet. I would recommend and would return.

Great hotel and even better staff

I could go on about the location and quality of the room and food but the real story is the staff. Everyone from the valet to the front desk and everyone else we interacted with was genuinely polite and helpful. It makes a difference.

    Okay but that's all

I was expecting a really nice hotel for the price charged. Also, the convention that I attend usually chooses very fine hotels. I was pretty disappointed. There was not a lot in the way of restaurants. Everything was very expensive. The upkeep was adequate but that's about all. The staff was very nice so I appreciated that. But overall it was a little disappointing.
