Quick family trip
Lots of amenities, highlights were the pools, water slide, and four flamingos restaurant. Rooms could use a refresh but generally a great hotel.

This is an example of what a Hyatt Regency should be.
Located right next door to Disney Springs this is a true gem in the Orlando area. From the fantastic 800,000 gallon pool, the beach, walking paths, fantastic sushi (and other food) this hotel is really a great place to vacation. And a hotel is more than just a sum of it's parts, the staff at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress is the glue that holds it all together and they are one of the best groups of people we have ever encountered at a hotel. Many on the staff have been here for 10, 20, 30 even close to 40 years. You know there has to be something truly special about a place that can keep staff that long and this is the place for sure. When you are there look for Tim in the front lobby with Merlot the parrot. Stop in for a beer at the lobby bar with Shawn and Mercedes. Be welcomed as you pull up by Anthony. And make sure and have some of the great breakfast in the Lakehouse with Aicha, JP, Abe and Yusuf. And if you like sushi this is the place for you. They have some of the best sushi you will find also down in the lake house in the evening.

Nice
Very nice hotel. Beautiful pool and great amenities. My son and I went bike riding, kayaking, he did the rock climbing wall, and we did water bikes. All very fun. Rooms were nice. Only thing not good was the microwave situation. Microwaves on every 5 floors. Microwave was very small fit for a dorm room, and the microwave area was neglected for cleaning. Trash was overflowing, and there was a mess with ketchup one day I went to use the microwave, the next day the mess was still there, no one came and cleaned and the cleaning ladies were in that very floor cleaning the rooms. I had to call the front desk and request the microwave area be cleaned. Other than that, hotel is very nice.

Great experience for a solo traveller!
Had an amazing time at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress! Stayed here solo for a nice vacation, meeting my friends at Universal and Disney! On the days where i wasn't at the parks, I really wanted to stay somewhere where i would have ample amount of activities, food, and places to relax and chill, and this resort was perfect for this! Stayed for a week, and thankfully had beautiful weather, and not so crazy crowds due to the slower Early January time with mostly corporate conventions happening around the area. This kept some people around, but also kept the pool, and lake and ground activities clear and not so busy. This is also a great stay for those with kids, with the activities around, arcade room, movies by the pool at night, etc. Activities were great, and smooth to get in to, my only feedback was for the bike trails needing more and clearer signage and markings so that you know where you are going and if you are staying on the right path. There was some construction in the back of the property, and so i think the bike trail was blocked, but me and another group were unsure if we were riding on the right path anyway. I heard that the building was built around the 80's but it has been maintained very, very well thus far. Noise level in the room was great, with little noise coming from other rooms, and virtually no noise coming from outside. The rooms were very clean and fully stocked with everything that you need, with anything else easily brought to you by the staff. That brings me to the best part of the stay, the staff! Everyone from the front desk, to the poolside bar and activities support were all so nice and courteous! Got breakfast multiple times at The Lakehouse restaurant past the lobby (buffet or menu based), and Andy, the manager, and both morning women servers (I cant remember their names!) treated me so well each time, remembered me and suggested food to try. Andy made me some of the best French 75's I've had! Get them from him when hes working haha. Chance, who worked down by the pool and at the pool bar, was also awesome, so kind, running around with a smile, taking orders around the pool, and making the drinks for his orders as well! The team seemed like they really cared, and were supported by each other in a good environment. Ill definitely be back here when i am in the area. Thanks for an awesome time!

Nice hotel, was expecting a little more for a resort, but overall great
It was a great place to hold the conference I attended. The food was great, and the staff was friendly. The room wasn't ready on time, but they offered a guest lounge where you could take a shower and change clothes if desired. The room and view were excellent.
