Raptor Bay, designed in the spirit of golf and respect for the land, has made history as the first resort course in the United States to receive Audubon International’s Gold Signature Certification. Amongst the 22 acres of lakes and more than 200 acres of native vegetation and nature preserve, Raptor Bay is home to endangered species such as the bald eagle and gopher tortoise. Hyatt sought the expertise of golf legend Raymond Floyd to design the 18-hole golf course, which promotes biological diversity. Raptor Bay incorporates accuracy from the tee and creativity around the greens. In addition to side fairways and one height of cut throughout the course, native areas like sand bunker hazards
were designed for the course, preserving the most valuable habitats on site and restoring nearly 25 acres of wetlands. Each hole was carefully crafted to blend with the environment, leaving a beautiful course that accentuates its natural surroundings. - Non-Motorized Water Sports †
Whether you prefer to traverse the waves in a kayak or wish to simply relax on a beautiful beach, our Florida Gulf Coast resort offers water fun for everyone. Estero Bay is home to a huge variety of wildlife such as Dolphins and Manatees, as well as endangered species including Kemps Ridley, leatherback, green and hawksbill turtles, and Loggerhead sea turtles (southwest Floridas most common). Imagine your kids delight (and yours) to see these amazing creatures in their natural habitats. You may even see Dolphins trailing behind your boat, if you time it just right! Please note, Sea turtle nesting season is May 1 - Oct 31, and Shorebird nesting season is Mar 31 - Aug 31. Nesting areas are roped off on the beach and must be respected.

Spring break 2026
Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa was nothing short of exceptional—truly one of the most memorable vacations we’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the experience was first class. The property itself is absolutely stunning—immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully designed in every detail. It is, without a doubt, our favorite Hyatt we’ve ever visited. The kids were completely in their element the entire trip. Between the incredible pools, water slides, and endless activities, they were nonstop smiles. They especially loved the face painting and organized kids’ activities, which gave them something fun and engaging to look forward to every day. The poolside experience was equally impressive. The food and drinks were outstanding—everything from refreshing cocktails to the unforgettable “killer colada” was top-notch. And the wood-fired pizza? Easily some of the best we’ve had at any resort. Dining across the property exceeded every expectation. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options that started each day perfectly. Dinner at Tarpon Bay was a highlight of the trip—each dish was exceptional. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the lobster bisque was rich and flavorful, and the tuna and scallops were cooked to perfection. What truly sets this resort apart, though, is the service. Every single team member we encountered—from the bell staff to housekeeping to the wait staff—delivered warm, attentive, and genuinely first-class service. You can tell there is a strong culture of hospitality here, and it makes all the difference. This resort delivers on every level: beautiful surroundings, incredible food, family-friendly amenities, and outstanding service. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Our favorite family vacation hotel
This was our third family vacation to Hyatt regency coconut point. We love it. There’s plenty to do between the water park, beach and nearby attractions. We love the cool beans cafe in the lobby. This year was more lively and the hotel was in great shape. Other years have been post hurricane or post covid and it was quieter. This time was not too busy, still. The rooms are nice however the family suite and the Palm suite have pull out sofa beds as part of their accommodations, which are not comfortable. The grounds are kept up and we love the lawn games. The rock climbing wall and the chess boards were removed. My family was disappointed about chess but we will remember to bring a board next time.

Great Amenities and Fun for Families, but the Value is Missing
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point on a $500/night conference rate. While the resort is beautiful and the service is professional, I found the value proposition a bit lacking—especially considering standard rates can soar to $900+ per night. The Highlights: Pools & The Private Island The "fun factor" here is undeniably high. The pool complex is fantastic; the slides and lazy river were a major highlight of our stay. We also really loved the free boat ride to the private island. It’s a unique touch that makes the beach experience feel like a true getaway. The shuttle to the mall was also a very convenient and appreciated perk-- the staff of the boat and shuttle were so wonderful. The Room & Service The room itself was very basic and small. While it felt reasonably clean, it didn’t match the "premium" feel suggested by the price tag. I was also disappointed that despite the hotel clearly having plenty of capacity, no upgrades were offered. The walls are thin and on more than one night, we could hear the very loud television from both sides of our room, even with a sound machine on. On a positive note, I appreciated the daily refill of water bottles, though I really wish the property would install a modern refill station to be more eco-friendly. Conference Conference service, meals and set up were really great. Dining & On-Site Costs Expect to pay "resort prices" for everything. We ate at several of the on-site restaurants and the food was very good, but the portions were surprisingly small for the cost. Pro-Tip: A S'mores kit at the hotel is $24 for just a few marshmallows and crackers. If you can, buy your own supplies at a grocery store before you arrive! For $24 you can have a lot more delivered! Final Verdict The staff is wonderful and the amenities (pools/boat) are top-tier. However, for a room this basic, $500–$900 per night feels steep. It is a solid 4-star experience, but I expected much more "wow factor" for the investment.

Great experience at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point
We stayed for 3 nights in early March. The resort is absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Staff was always courteous and welcoming. The pools and lazy river were very clean, relaxing, and refreshing. The resort was not overly busy when we were there, which was nice. I imagine it can get quite crowded when kids are out of school for breaks and over the summer. We were able to park in the self-parking area, which was very convenient, but valet is also available. The resort was so gorgeous that we were happy to grab a coffee from the on-site coffee shop in the mornings and walk through the outdoor areas where there are an abundance of flowers and tropical plants. It just felt like paradise! We took the complimentary shuttle to the private island beach one day and it was also gorgeous (highly recommend this experience, especially since the resort itself is not directly on a beach). You do have to reserve a spot on the shuttle in advance. Keep in mind there is no food service on the island, so bring a cooler with drinks, snacks, etc. This worked out great for us. Chair and umbrella set-ups were provided. The sand was white and soft, and the water was clear and aqua colored. So worth it! There were clean restrooms on-site. We found many shells and saw some interesting birds in the area (osprey and pelicans). The captain of the shuttle boat talked about the area and pointed out several landmarks along the way, which was very interesting. There was a dolphin sighting as well! We did not eat in while at the resort, but ordered pizza one night from the bar and it was delicious. The on-site coffee shop had wonderful lattes and an assortment of grab-and-go items for breakfast as well as snacks/sandwiches for anytime. Very convenient and good service. The tiki bar by the pool was a cute little oasis in the middle of the pool area and the service and drinks were very good. The only issue we had during our stay was a baby crying non-stop in a conjoining room who kept us awake one night. Front desk staff was very accommodating in moving us to a different room the next day, which was very much appreciated. We even received an upgraded room with a better view! Thank you to everyone at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point for a wonderful stay - we will definitely be back!
