Absolutely brilliant hotel. Really beautiful inside, with a great team who take care of you. The food is delicious. My room was comfortable, clean, spacious and I loved the handy bathroom supplies, which are so helpful for travellers. The small touches make a huge difference. I would definitely recommend this hotel over other hotels in Birmingham.

Mar 16, 2026Nice, Clean - Just be aware if you're noise sensitive
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel this year. Once in February and once in March. On both visits, the hotel staff were very welcoming and the service personal. My request of featherless bedding had been met and the housekeeping service are clearly very efficient. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower nice and hot. I like the size of the room, unlike some hotels they haven't skimped on space. The in hotel WiFi was fast enough to stream to my laptop and conduct some online meetings. I didn't use the in hotel food services. I could have booked breakfast but I felt £40 for breakfast to be rather pricey (maybe it's absolutely exceptional and I'm missing out - it would need to be exceptional for that price) and I'd rather take advantage of some of the amazing local restaurants near the hotel for dinner. My only complaint.. when I stayed in February my room was on the 11th floor and was facing the road at the front of the hotel. The room was nice and quiet. When I stayed in March my room had a Canal view. What I didn't realise is that there are bars by the canal and even from the 12th floor I could hear the music from those bars. I could hear it so clearly I could identify the songs they were playing. I fully appreciate that the hotel can't stop bars from playing loud music, it's just something worth bearing in mind when staying here. Next time I stay I'll be requesting a room that does not overlook the canal, even though it's the better view.

Some of the hotel facilities did not meet expectations. Restaurant food was not up to standard or correct. Breakfast area was cold and draughty.

Beautiful hotel
Was visiting the Utilita Arena for a concert and as it was for my birthday we stayed here for a treat (Utilita is only about 6 min walk away so perfectly located) Very attentive and pleasant waiting staff in the lounge area and in the restaurant, accommodating my special food requirements with kindness. Room spacious and exceptionally clean. There is a concierge you can leave your luggage with if you arrive before check-in time, so you can go out for a wander. Looking forward to returning soon when next in Birmingham
