Convenient location, safe and clean. Friendly staff. I return here every year for the same meeting down the street. Great restaurants nearby.l

Great location, friendly staff, and breakfast for Hyatt members was free and definitely a step up from regular hotel breakfast. So convenient for getting an early start on sightseeing. The one and only complaint I have is our bathroom door - it was a translucent sliding door and you could literally see a persons silhouette if they were about to shower or even going to the bathroom. The sink was outside that but right next to. For our family of 5, we had to juggle who showered when, with who was at the sink when someone was showering. No privacy at all. Not sure if all the rooms are set up that way or perhaps only the larger suites with sofa bed? We made it work, but definitely was disappointing. Otherwise it was a great hotel!

100% recommend
It is hard to pick a hotel in DC…so many options and locations. I would 100% recommend this one for location to metro and for staff. I had not experienced this level of service at a hotel in a long time, they are actually happy to serve you. I think it is a culture provided from management on down.

The Hyatt Place is my placed to stay in DC!
Myself and fellow advocates with the COPD Foundation stayed at the Hyatt Place during our time in DC for IMPACT Lung Health 2026. The Hyatt Place is an excellent, friendly, fun place to stay. The rooms are immaculate, there is a complimentary breakfast buffet, and staff are very friendly and willing to helkp in any way.

Good place to stay in Downtown DC
The hotel was a nice place to stay. The room was clean and I enjoyed the additional seating in the room. The room was clean and the only thing I would say is that housekeeping usually didn’t arrive until late in the day, but I understand they have many rooms to clean. The front desk staff greeted me every time I came and went which was nice. The breakfast was good as well each morning with lots of variety. It was close to a metro stop as well.

Weight must be 50 lbs or less max of 75lbs for 2 dogs per rm. Fees are in USD. Service Animals exempt from fees.
