Overall, I love the hotel location and the affordable price. Room is spacious, clean, and the two queen beds are comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was great. Pool is a bit small. We did not join the classes because we were outside and couldn't make it. Perhaps next time!

Solo vacation hotel choice met expectations
Hyatt Place was such a good choice for my recent trip to Oahu. Friendly and helpful staff and clean rooms with an awesome breakfast set up daily. It is close to the beach and attractions like the zoo and aquarium; all three I enjoyed. Walking distance to the International Market mall and the food trucks next to the hotel had good options.

I used to like this property for staycations, but now would not recommend to others. I used a free night award... this is the only property on Oahu that is a cat 4. It has gone downhill. The good: Friendly and helpful front desk staff and management. Each person we interacted with thanked me for being a Globalist. Received a much appreciated room upgrade to 2 Queen Premium. Not so good: Had to call multiple times for housekeeping items (towels, pillows), finally had to walk down the hall to request from staff. Breakfast was a mess. Horrible wind...wish there was more wind and sun protection, most tables were in the sun or exposed to uncomfortable wind. Overcrowded, staff tired and somewhat lazy, food selection and quality has gone down. Location at the edge of Waikiki is not the best. Terrible: much prefer to self park, but the parking options for this hotel are not good. Most valets were okay throughout our stay. However, the guy who brought our car upon check out was terrible. He failed to properly drive my car up to the lobby area where we were waiting, and instead rudely left my car on the street. He walked up to me, handed me the keys, and said... "your car is down there". We were forced to lug our bags down the ramp to the street, and load our bags on our own, with traffic whizzing by. Shocking lack of service. I elevated my concern regarding the valet to the front desk, received an apology, and was issued Hyatt points to my account for the inconvenience. Despite fantastic front desk staff, we will probably avoid staying here again.

Great hotel and location
The Hyatt was perfect for our needs and exceeded our expectations. We did not need a car and could easily walk to the beach and took the bus to Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head and Manoa Falls. Hotel breakfast was fine and worked for us with eggs one day, French toast sticks another and pancakes. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and the hotel surprised us with a congratulatory note and free molten cake which was such a fantastic and appreciated thought. I would and plan to return to this hotel if we plan to come back to Oahu.

Another Wonderful Stay at Hyatt Place Waikiki
We had another fantastic experience at our favorite hotel in Honolulu! Everything about our stay was absolutely satisfying. The staff are exceptional, working tirelessly to ensure the hotel remains clean, welcoming, and comfortable. A special mention goes to the breakfast team, who manage the crowded and busy mornings with remarkable efficiency. Despite the hustle and bustle, they ensure every guest is taken care of and has everything they need. Thank you, Hyatt Place Waikiki, for your outstanding hospitality. We look forward to our next stay, hopefully sometime next year!
