Great location and amazing service. From check in to house keeping to auto valet. Joy at the front desk was super friendly and very responsive. Very busy Hyatt but the staff work tirelessly to accomodate all the guests. Would definitely recommend staying at the Hyatt when in Waikiki, close to everything without the hussle of traffic and crowds

When we go to Oahu, we always stay at Waikiki but dont spend the beach days at the hotel or Waikiki. We are a family of 4 kiddos are 18/16. We chose this hotel because of the room. It was booked through points. Arrival and Pre-Arrival - Knowing we are going during the week of Christmas, I called them twice before arrival to make sure they had the room category and type picked out as shown on the virtual tour of the website. We arrived late, luckily they still had spots in the valet. Got right checked in, got our little bag with water bottles, before getting checked in I said can you verify the room type and category and she said yup all good to go. Well, we went upstairs around 11pm to our room. wow, that room was small cramped and craptastic to say the least. I knew that was not the room I paid for. I went down and the lady at the front cant remember her name wasnt really helpful and swore we were in the right room category, etc - and the only options I was given was they are sold out and I can switch to another room the next day and they would credit me points for a day, but we really didnt want to move so at that time I turned it down. Saddened, because I was not getting what I paid for I went back near midnight, that is where I met Kaylee(sp) she was the bartender as well as at the front, I told her my story and she said she understands and apologized, and said we are sold out, but I will give you an upgraded view same room you should have gotten. Long story short, they should have people like Kaylee always working the front desk, amazing. Next day as promised they moved us to what we should have had in the first place with a better view. Stay in the new room was great, enough room not cramped, in the remodled tower I think thats what she said the dominoes side. Breakfast was good, decent options, and coffee and tea options. Go to the third floor, our first day we went in the lobby and saw breakfast there lol but the actual full breakfast buffet is on the 3rd floor. We would actually take our food and go back to the lobby cause we are protected against wind and birds. All in all after the hotel room incident it was a great fix. Although we were lucky enough to get the valet parking (they do not have self park) if you do not get that they will point you to across the street to park there, I cant speak on this since we didnt have to do that. I would consider the hotel again, just was dissappointed about the room stuff.

It was good
Don’t get a big vehicle because the front of the hotel is really small and it would be difficult to park for valet services. The breakfast is not the best but it was ok. The best part about the hotel was that it is close to the beach.

Good Accessible Hotel
My family chose this hotel because it was the most wheelchair accessible option we could find in Waikiki. The accessible room is big, with ample space in the bathroom, grab bars in the shower and by the toilet, and a folded shower seat. The only issues in the room is that the bathroom sink is a little high for someone in a wheelchair and opening the door to get out of the room would be hard without help. We didn't use the pool or pool lift, mostly because the angle of the buildings meant the pool itself never got any direct sunlight (although the deck did, depending on the time). The beds are comfortable, although definitely on the softer side. The breakfast buffet was okay, but not great. It usually had some type of egg (scrambled, breakfast sandwich), bread & bagels, yogurt & granola, juices, and fruit (typically apples, pineapple, or banana), and occasionally sausage, bacon, or waffles. There's filtered water stations in the lobby, which was really handy and you get a bottle of water upon check-in to use throughout your stay. The gym has a small weight rack, a cable machine, treadmills, bikes, and one peloton bike. The beach is a short walk away and I preferred being on the farther end of Waikiki where it's not quite as busy with crowds. Everything is very walkable and there's good food and coffee options nearby. The staff at the hotel are really great and were very accommodating and helpful with our requests and accessibility needs. Would definitely recommend for anyone in a wheelchair or mobility issues.

I arrive to the hotel at night flying from LAX and driving from the airport. They had no parking space and they told me your parking is not their problem. The options the gave was not options as they were all full. The staff was not helpfull and they kept saying it was my problem not theirs. I was never informed about this issue before. I had to be up until 1 am trying to find a place to park and had to wake up 6 am to move my car to another spot to avoid tickets. Terrible for a guset coming to Hawaii for the first time and having that kind of Stress.
