Nov 15, 2025Fantastic Location and Property!
This U.S.-based Hyatt Place recognized my Globalist status and upgraded my room at check-in. In addition, the Globalist 2 waters in a bag (with an extra snack amenity) was ready and waiting. Likewise, the requested extended check-out was not an issue, and all the staff encountered were very courteous. This was a comfortable stay!

Great stay!
The night auditor Chris and front desk Danny were extremely accommodating and just generally fantastic! Very knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms were clean and cozy and quiet, the breakfast was filling before our cruise. The pool was spacious and we received fresh towels while we were swimming which was wonderful.

Oct 20, 2025Disappointing Stay That Didn’t Match the Price
Not the experience I expected from a Hyatt. I’m a frequent traveler and a travel advisor, and unfortunately, my stay at the Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore was disappointing and did not deliver the value expected for the price. The construction noise, which was extremely loud, similar to a jackhammer even during breakfast hours. It made what should have been a relaxing start to the day feel stressful and unpleasant. If construction must occur, it would make sense to schedule it outside of guest dining times. When checking out, the front desk associate was eating while assisting me, which came across as unprofessional. It may seem minor, but those small details affect the overall impression of service quality. Another major frustration was the misleading information about the airport shuttle. The hotel’s website indicated that a shuttle was available, but upon arrival, I learned there was no shuttle and that I would need to use an Uber arranged by the hotel instead. This should be clearly stated online so travelers aren’t left waiting or confused after a long day of travel. Given the combination of construction noise, service issues, and misleading information, I can’t recommend this property at its current price point. I did reach out to management privately to share this feedback before posting here, but unfortunately, I never received a response. Overall, this property might work for a quick overnight stay if priced significantly lower, but I would suggest other nearby hotels for travelers seeking a better experience and value.

I made my reservation back in June. The hotel didn’t inform me that they would be under renovation during the period of my stay. We had construction going on all day. They had shipping containers taking up half the parking lot. The restaurant was closed. When I called Hyatt to see if I could be moved to another hotel, they explained that the current property would have to approve and that my new rate at the other property would be more than what I was paying. Unacceptable!!

Lots of value for such great service and accomodations
We so appreciated our stay while in town for the Eagles/Buccaneers game. We arrived at 4am after significant travel delays and they were so understanding and accomodating. The room was sizeable - two queen beds and a rollout sofa made it comforable for my dad, me, and my niece. The rooms were new and clean, so I imagine that the hotel will be sparkling when the renovations are done. Great value for the high level of customer service and accomadations.
