Nicest Hyatt Place I’ve been to - great family trip/hotel all around
I love Hyatt properties in general, but as far as Hyatt Place hotels (of which I’ve been to a handful throughout the years) this was by far the nicest I’ve been to (and the others were nice), but everything from shower head pressure to room AC, to gym cleanliness, or even buffet breakfast setup was clean/worked well - overall a top notch great experience for our family vacation. Would definitely come back if ever back in the area!

The hotel is in a great location, very clean, and staff were wonderful. Pool was small but well maintained and the patio area is nice. Parking was convenient but $35 a night was pretty hefty for a paying guest. The hotel has a lot going for it but there were a few small and fixable things that would keep me from staying here again. The bed was horribly uncomfortable and sagging badly which they attempted to "fix" by adding a thick mattress topper that offered no relief. By our 3rd day we had to cancel plans for a hike because we were so sore from the awful bed. Not a huge thing, but although the room was a decent size it had 2 weird upholstered benches that took up space without being of any use and made the room difficult to navigate without badly stubbing your toes when the sleeper sofa was pulled out. We ended up tipping one on it's side and stowing it in a corner. The worst part of the room itself is that the bathroom does not have an actual door, but rather a sliding panel of framed frosted glass. This offers little-to-no privacy to the occupant of the bathroom and sibjects the other guests in the room to all of the sights, sounds, and smells of the bathroom. It makes the room completely inappropriate for use by more than a single occupant. Breakfast looked good and the cold items, while limited, were pretty decent. Hot items were served at room temperature and tasted as if they'd been microwaved hours earlier and left out. Breakfast was super crowded and set up awkwardly so everyone was constantly in everyone else's way. It also ends at 9 on weekdays which is pretty early for leisure travelers and resulted in big crowds and difficulty finding seating after about 815. They also remove the coffee from the lobby promptly at 9 which is super annoying. Overall, it was a nice clean hotel in a great location with wonderful staff. But at the end of the day, I book a hotel because I need a decent place to sleep and on that critical factor, this property fell short enough that I'd not likely stay here again.

Perfect Location in Pasadena
Location was perfect for our purpose (seeing a show at Pasadena Auditorium). Lots of restaurants around the area and a mall. We felt safe walking around even in the evening. All staff arw nice and attentive, especially the person working at the restaurant/bar. No valet parking but the garage parking is convenient. Will go back again if in the area.
