Dec 10, 2025Another wonderful stay at HP Pasadena
The staff was fantastic. Chris and his colleague took the time to explain everything I needed to know in detail. During my first stay, we had an issue with the sofabed missing linens, so this time I asked Froilan and Chris for extras. Chris kindly clarified that there should already be extra linens in the room, and the gentleman beside him offered to send a comforter up, which I gladly accepted. Breakfast was excellent, and the service throughout was exceptional. Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

Well worth it!
Very nice, modestly-priced hotel in the heart of Pasadena's shopping / restaurant district. Walking distance to shopping and eateries.

The location is actually perfect if you are looking for places to shop and walk around as it's next to many stores without having to go on the street! It's embedded into a shopping center. It helped acquire a few things we had left at home. The staff was friendly and room service was quick. The only thing stopping this review from 5 stars was that I was mischarged 3 breakfasts, but the front desk immediately resolved that issue. Just on location alone, I think this beats the other Hyatt place in Glendale (which also felt like they had more hollow restroom doors).

Nov 25, 2025Do yourself a favor and choose another hotel in Pasadena.
Hotel rooms had a mildew smell and the rooms were dated. Staff was not helpful when addressing issues. We had to be moved to a new room when originally checking in because our first room had a strong mildew smell and stains on the couch. The new room was better but not by much. The staff put another guest in the mildew smelling room right after us without addressing the issue. The phones in the rooms did not work and the elevators were a complete mess to get to the garage. Pass on this hotel next time.

Just a drop in
Clean, friendly staff, great location. We came to town for a wedding on a Sunday evening. Not wanting to drive 3.5 hours back to Palm Desert we decided to stay at the Hyatt Place and walk around town the next morning then go on to the Huntington Library. Very conveniently located.
