Mar 24, 2026Very Disappointing Experience
I would have given The Hyatt Place a high rating however on my last stay my wife left her $1600 hearing aids in the room while we fly to NJ. I called and confirmed that they were found and would be held for our return 5 days later. We returned and the front desk saw that their system log noted they were found but couldn't find them. The manager never came out of the office to talk to me and then I was told it was a miscommuncation and they were never found. Not what I heard on the phone days earlier and not what was reported in their log as she read it to me at the desk. I have referred this to Hyatt Customer Service and am waiting for a reply. It is a shame that people can't be trusted anymore to do the right thing. Also when they sent a Lyft driver because the shuttle wasn't running the car was an old piece of multi colored junk. Unlikely lyft because no sign. The driver spoke no english and couldn't tell me if he knew who we were. Scary!

Generally the staff was great and the room we had was spacious and comfortable, please get back up towels. I'm pretty sure the reason we didn't get to check in until an hour and 20 minutes after stated check in was because towels were still being laundered. They were fully booked during the entirely of our stay, and we got offered hand towels to use (we declined) for our outdoor water excursion. Ultimately they told us to just use our regular room towels (they did not have pool specific towels) which turned out to be a bad idea... we were never able to get fresh towels after.

A good stay to meet up with family
This was a short stay for us -- we flew in late, left for Talla the next day. Everything was fine, the room was very clean and well-appointed. Breakfast was very nice, we especially appreciated the fresh fruit variety.

My new fav at JAX airport
Second time staying here. Check-in is always quick and easy. Rooms were clean. The evening shuttle driver picked me up both times. He’s pretty awesome as well. I leave too early to speak on the breakfast but the front desk always has fresh coffee for me. I plan to use this hotel every few months during my travels.
