Mar 23, 2026If you're arriving late, good luck getting assistance
This stay was unfortunately defined by a very poor front desk experience. We arrived around 10:30 PM after a flight delay and were already exhausted. After valet parking, we found ourselves outside the property with no clear way to get in. We only got inside because another guest happened to let us in. From there, we made our way up to the third-floor lobby to check in, only to find no one at the front desk. I walked around the lobby looking for staff and found no one, and there was no sign or direction on how to get assistance. After a while, I ended up using the lobby phone just to get someone’s attention. Only then did the front desk staff member come out. When I told him we had been waiting, his response was dismissive and unapologetic saying, “you haven’t been waiting that long.” That completely changed the interaction. Up until then, it was just an inconvenience, but that response was frustrating and unprofessional. Even a few minutes with no direction or indication that anyone is coming is frustrating, especially late at night after traveling. A simple apology would have gone a long way. The check-in itself felt rushed and lacked basic hospitality. It was essentially “here’s your key and room number” with no offer of additional keys, no mention of complimentary water, and no explanation of anything else. At that point, I just wanted to get to the room and be done. Overall, the lack of professionalism and communication made the stay feel unwelcoming. This could have easily been avoided with better organization and basic customer service.

Our stay at the Hyatt Place Houston/Galleria in Texas was amazing. The General Manager, Queenie Luong and her team went above and beyond expectations. Everything was great and relaxing. The room and cleanliness was perfect for a detailed person.

A terrible experience at the front desk. My reservation was paid for by my company, yet they still charged my card $850 USD. No one on the staff could help me; they kept charging me a new amount every day, and no one resolved anything. The service was awful. If you have the chance, choose another hotel. There's definitely no guarantee your credit card will stay at the front desk.

Great customer service
This location was so accommodating. We had to extend our trip for a large group of people and they were able to help us. The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing.
