Just the best staff. They make my day every day. I walked everywhere, enjoying the side streets around the main streets. The front desk and breakfast crew started my day great and the front desk, well, they rock it.

Nov 22, 2025Full No Show charges during a HURRICANE
I had a reservation here for a wedding and arrived a day later than anticipated due to a hurricane. I called as soon as I had cell service to let them know I was stranded and I would be arriving the next morning. The hotel charged me a No Show fee for a full nightly rate for the night I missed while I was trapped on the side of the road during Helene. This is exactly the customer service I will not reward with a good review, a recommendation or a return stay.

Highlights: The two Valet parking attendants. Our stay from there went down hill. Location on King Street. Lowlights: Staff communication, staff oversight, and upper-floor hotel cleanliness. We were promised early check-in (we followed all the guidelines) on the Hyatt App and front desk. We checked-in 1pm. Front desk staff said they would text us when our room was ready. No one ever texted us. After waiting from 1-4pm, at 4:15 we walked up the desk and checked-in. I handed my luggage cart tag to the new manager. After waiting 20-minutes in our room, I went to the lobby and retrieved our luggage cart from the same spot where they parked at 1pm. The manager took my name and room number and promised to find out why no one ever contacted us between 1-4pm about our room availability. I never heard from the manger again. Hotel cleanliness. Hallway carpets (5 though 7th floors) full of stains. Bathroom was average clean. Breakfast bar attendant over-sprayed my two just made coffee's with scented cleaner. We stopped at the hotel bar Saturday night only to find it abandoned. The bar tender appeared from the back and yawned three-times. He seemed uninterested. He disappeared after serving us. We had to go the hotel desk manager and ask her for a wine refill.

Excellent comfortable stay and perfect location
The rooms were large and very comfortable! Large bathroom, great breakfast. fantastic staff. Excellent location!! We enjoyed our brief stay.

This was a first time visit to Charleston and I truly had no idea where to stay. This hotel is very conveniently located to shopping, restaurants, bar and activities. Easily walkable. Lively environment. Hospitable staff. Decent free breakfast. A little pricey but in comparison to other hotels in the immediate area, it was reasonable. I would stay here again
