  Hyatt Buckhead

  Hyatt Buckhead have a great location. 3 mins away from Buckhead Theater, shopping & restaraunts in the area. The staff is very pleasant. The hotel is very very clean. They offer complementary breakfast. Parking is accessible in premises. Definitely can't go wrong staying here!

  Nice choice in a choice neighborhood

  Recently returned from a one week stay at the Hyatt Place Atlanta Buckhead. I was a bit hesitant to reserve due to the number of negative reviews but I decided to give this property a try and I will say I was not disappointed. Due to a change in my travel plans I arrived at the hotel much earlier than expected but Martha at the front desk was very helpful with my check-in process. She explained that my World of Hyatt status entitled me to a late 2:00 P.M. checkout and two complimentary bottles of water every day - the former eased my final day in Atlanta as I had a very late departure out (more on that later). My room was ready ahead of time and was even better than the online photos. The room was a suite with to start a very large and comfortable L-shaped sofa with ottoman, and a wet bar with a mini fridge and complimentary coffee and tea. My king bed was so very comfortable and gave me a good night's sleep every night. The living area and bedroom are separated by a divider - in between and in front of the living room and bedroom is the very large TV with plenty of channels on a stand with an ice bucket and glasses on the lower shelf. The TV can be viewed easily from both spaces but can be turned slightly if needed. The bathroom was rather small and narrow - the door almost touched the toilet when opening and closing but not that big a deal. The walk in shower was fine and had a plastic floor mat, so welcome for safety (many hotels are doing away with them so bravo to Hyatt for this welcome touch). The sink was outside the bathroom and next to it a counter with clothes drawers. The closet however was kind of small with just enough space for my clothing and luggage as well as the iron and board but I made it work. The included breakfast was the same each day but had plenty of choices. There were scrambles and hard boiled eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon as well as fruit (melons, strawberries and bananas). Also cereal and bread products and of course coffee, tea and juices. So one should be able to build a reasonable breakfast with these choices. Starting in the afternoon and going for the rest of the day is the Placery where you can order limited hot items - burgers, wings, salads, etc. I had a very good meal of a burger, fruit and beer for a very reasonable price. In addition the display case next to the check-in desk has a variety of ready made salads, sandwiches and sweets to either eat in or take out. The lobby is big enough to haver privacy if needed but not huge (a good thing). There are a couple of TVs for viewing and plenty of outlets to charge phones and other devices. There is also a cute garden off the lobby with tables. chairs and umbrellas which I made use of in the 70+ temps in Atlanta last week. There is also a pool which was closed for the season and a fitness center but did not use so cannot comment on. Please note that all public spaces in the hotel, including the restroom in the lobby are accessed with your room keycard. Security is taken seriously here. As to transportation to the hotel, the Red Line of the MARTA subway departs from the airport if arriving that way. Get off at the Buckhead stop and make a right as you leave the station. You are parallel to Peachtree Road and the hotel is about six blocks away (west). If arriving by Amtrak take a cab or Uber as there is no subway connected to the station, just the bus which stops across the street. If you are intent on using the subway, walk about 10 blocks south (going right out of the station) to the Arts Center MARTA station and catch the Red Line northbound (direction North Springs). Get off at the Buckhead MARTA station and proceed as indicated above. But a cab or Uber would be easier - the Uber costs about $15.00. The area where the Hyatt Place is located is Buckhead, one of the best areas of Atlanta to stay in. It is safe, clean and has a plethora of restaurants to choose from both on and around Peachtree. And as a bonus two of the largest shopping malls in the Southeast are a 15-20 minute walk east of the hotel - Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza where you can shop, eat or pass the time in comfort. The subway also comes in handy for sightseeing to other parts of Atlanta, especially Downtown and Midtown. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs especially upon check in as mentioned above and on my last day in town. I was allowed to leave my luggage for storage after my 2 P.M. checkout until my departure late that night. One of the night staff, Kenny graciously assisted me with confirming my Uber reservation for the Amtrak station (why I left so late) and when I opted to buy a cookie to snack on before departure, he offered it to me complimentary. And when my Uber ride arrived he accompanied to the car and wished me a safe trip back - a very nice touch to end my stay at the Hyatt Place and Atlanta. Rates at this property are very reasonable for the area and for what is offered. For the quality of accommodation and the friendly service I believe the Hyatt Place Buckhead is a winning choice for visit to the gracious city of Atlanta. Please note however that an authorization for an incidental charge is applied. However, any unused portion will be credited back to you. The amount will most likely differ with length of stay. So in closing if my travel plans ever bring me back to Atlanta, the Hyatt Place Buckhead will be a top choice for my stay.

  Stayed at the smaller Hyatt in downtown Buckhead, beautiful facility, friendly & helpful staff, nice breakfast, great room accommodations.

  Excellent hotel with a welcoming environment. The staff was great and the space was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.

  Just What we Needed

  My husband and I stayed one night at this Hyatt Place due to a medical appointment near by. The lady, Pearl, who checked us in was very friendly and efficient and had us checked in within just a few minutes. Our room (#514) was a king room. Very nicely furnished. There is a seperate sitting area and a large screen tv which swivels so you can watch in the sitting area or from the bed. The shower was big and had good water pressure. The room was clean and well maintained. Lots of restaurants nearby and 3 miles from Piedmont Atlanta hospital as well as Sheppard Center. We will definetely stay here when it's time for another medical appointment.
