Apr 06, 2026Family vacation with the perfect home base!
We decided to save money on a beach hotel and book the Hyatt Place instead. We rented a car and drove to a different beach each day. This was perfect for us because we got to explore the island and not feel bad that we are leaving an expensive hotel and not even using it! Each morning we enjoyed the free breakfast and then headed out to a beach, catamaran, or whatever adventure was planned that day! We would head back to the hotel after lunch which is when the kids used the hotel pool until dinner time. They loved the clean, spacious pool! It's also fun seeing the airplanes land while swimming. The airport is closed during sleeping hours so don't worry about any noise! The staff was very helpful and attentive during our stay. I'm so glad we decided to stay here as our home base during vacation! We were only 30 min from baby beach (our favorite!) and about 25 min to Arashi beach (best beach shack food!).

Great hotel!
This was so convenient being right next to the airport. Rooms were large and clean and the hotel was modern and had an amazing breakfast included. Staff were very friendly. The pool area was nice, I just wish there was a hot tub. I think parking was $12 but we didn't need it.

Mar 16, 2026Doesn't live up to the Hyatt name
We spent our last night in Aruba at the Hyatt Place at the Airport. It's directly adjacent to the terminal and an easy walk even with suitcases. However, the first room that we were shown into was exceedingly musty- to the point that we went back to the desk and asked for another. The second room still had a faint mustiness but was acceptable. The restaurant there is pitiful. Don't be expecting a nice dinner- a burger is more like it. There are several restaurants in the airport before security and we should've eaten dinner there. But the included breakfast was nice, but no yogurt. No store on site, but the main desk gave us toothbrush and paste and a few other things. There was a LOT of highway noise. And I was surprised that the bedroom doesn't have any USB outlets. There is a nice pool and lounge chairs.

Excellent service and surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel
I stayed 4 nights at Hyatt Place Aruba Airport and had a great experience—especially as a solo traveler. The hotel was comfortable, convenient, and surprisingly quiet for an airport location. My room was very clean, and I didn’t hear planes at night while sleeping or in the morning, which was a big plus. What stood out most was the exceptional service from Xylon, Urani, and Rosaura. They were genuinely friendly and extremely knowledgeable about Aruba. Their recommendations for things to do and places to eat were spot on, and they made me feel welcomed and confident navigating the island on my own. Breakfast was solid, and I especially enjoyed the pastechis—similar to an empanada, but with a slightly sweeter dough (definitely try them!). I also appreciated that the lunch/dinner options were fairly priced and tasted good, which was perfect on days when I had long excursions and didn’t have the energy to head to the Palm Beach area to eat. Another helpful perk: the hotel offers a shuttle to different areas of the island, but you’ll want to book in advance (about 24 hours). It’s a great option if you’re trying to avoid taxis or don’t want to rent a car. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for solo travelers, short stays, or anyone who wants a convenient base near the airport with excellent service. I would absolutely stay here again.
