  Excellent Location!

  A clean hotel at a prime location The Wharf in DC. The front desk and housekeeping staff are very friendly. The room and bathroom are very clean. Everything works without issues. The breakfast buffet is good. The lady bartender looked depressed. People working at a bar must have a cheerful face so as to enhance the overall bar experience and possibly bring in more business. Otherwise this was a pleasant and memorable stay. The views of the marina, landing planes, sunsets, the wharf strolling areas, restaurants in the area, accessibility to nearby tourist locations and memorials are really the highlights of this location.

  Great location

  Great location, close to restaurants, sightseeing and main attractions of DC. Only item that is odd if you have not stayed at this location before is the entrance to the hotel. Not bad but you need to be aware of the entrance is not directly available for drop off from uber/taxi. I've walked the entrance area from the roundabout, no issues ever, but you need to be prepared to walk down the boardwalk or through the garage entrance. You take the elevator to second floor for check-in. There is signs to help.

  No heart

  A week prior to our two nights stay stay (Friday and Saturday) my wife’s grandmother died. The funeral was the Friday we were supposed to be in DC for our stay. We immediately contacted Chase Travel (we booked through Chase) , knowing we wouldn’t be able to make it - asking for a credit so that we could stay another weekend. The manager declined our request. We made the 5 hour drive to the funeral and got home to Baltimore close to midnight Friday. Saturday morning, we got up and made our way to DC. We had lost one night but at $200 per night I wasn’t giving away the second night. We got to the reception desk and told the gentleman we were checking in. He politely told us check in isn’t until 3pm. I told him we had actually booked for Friday and Saturday so we should be ok. His worried expression gave me pause. He then told me that because we didn’t arrive Friday, we were marked as a “no show” and the hotel was now sold out, with no rooms available. We explained the situation to him - that we had tried to get a credit a week prior and that the hotel manager had declined our request and we would not get our money back nor a credit for the stay - so we came to at least get one of the two nights we had paid for. After 45 minutes to an hour the gentleman gave us the good news - that he had found us a room. We did enjoy the night we had there but we would have enjoyed a full weekend experience like we had planned. In light of the fact that the hotel clearly has no issues filling up on weekends, and given the circumstances, I feel they could have given us a credit for another stay and all parties would have been happy. Instead, they tried to double dip and we only got one of the two nights we paid for and stayed under the cloud of my wife’s grandmother’s death and exhaustion from 12 hours of driving.

  Christmas Getaway

  Great location and very clean hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly! Went with friends for dinner on the Wharf and Boat Parade. Great location. A little tough to find but very close to everything including garage

  Great Hotel. Friendly staff and amazing location.

  Great hotel. The location is awesome, in the middle of "The Wharf" with plenty of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops around. The views of the Potomac River are amazing. The staff is super friendly and polite (special thanks to Senessie for your help and support). The breakfast is good with a variety of different options. The location is perfect to walk to the tourist places and with easy access to the subway stations.
