Nov 30, 2025Cancelled our family's reservation day before check-in
Room was clean, breakfast was great. We were sad my parents reservation was cancelled the day before we were supposed to check in without any notice. No credit was given to compensate for the inconvenience or extra expense of booking a new room the day before check-in. We would have like to stay together in the same hotel. They ended up several blocks away at a different hotel. In the end it worked out fine, however I didn't feel Hyatt House handled the situation very professionally and could have been more helpful.

I booked 4 rooms on points months ago for my stay 11/22-24. I had been saving up these points for a year as a gift to our family and friends. They called me 2 days before our stay to cancel due to burst pipes and relocated me to a nearby hotel. I went from a free stay covered with points to paying close to 2k for the new hotel. Hyatt did cover 1 night for my 2 night stay but 4 rooms for 1 night easily came out to $1k. Plus there was no free breakfast at the new hotel which ended up costing more in food expenses for 18 people! I wrote an email to the general manager to cover the other night and have heard no response. This ruined our family Disneyland trip that we had been looking forward to for months. Terrible customer service! I eventually ended up filing a complaint to Hyatt corporate. I have been a loyal Hyatt member and this was the first time that the customer service was a complete failure. Do better!

Abysmal- Go anywhere else!
Abysmal service. Our room was canceled under 48 hours before our check in (and after we had received the email welcoming us for our upcoming stay). They had no remorse and the only thing they could offer was a good rate at another Hyatt much farther away. That's not helpful when you are trying to visit Disneyland. We were left stranded and they absolutely should have told us sooner (which they admitted when i finally was able to talk to someone on the phone). Do not recommend. Don't risk it. They will ruin your vacation.

Deeply Disappointed — Our Stay Was Canceled Last Minute
We were extremely disappointed by our experience with the Hyatt House Anaheim. We had been very excited to stay here after reading great reviews and chose this property specifically for its location and reputation. However, after dropping off our luggage around 1 PM, we later received notice — at 4 PM — that the hotel had flooded and could no longer accommodate our stay. We were already inside Disneyland Park when we found out, and the situation completely disrupted our day and our vacation plans. Hyatt House had rebooked us at another hotel, but it was not comparable in quality or location, adding about a 25-minute walk to our daily plans. The downgrade and inconvenience were unacceptable. We ultimately had to scramble to find our own last-minute accommodations, which cost us significantly more than expected. This entire experience left us frustrated and disappointed. We expected far better communication and customer service from a Hyatt property. Sadly, this has completely changed our impression of Hyatt House, and we will not be booking with them again.
