My husband and I stayed at this hotel and we were very happy with our experience. The hotel property was very clean, and well maintained. Each staff member that we interacted with during our stay was very nice and friendly. They were even able to store our luggage after checkout because we weren’t due to be at our cruise terminal until a few hours later. The hotel is conveniently located across from the beach; you’re able to access the beach through the Loews Hotel across the street. The Hyatt Centric does not have its own gym, but you’re able to access the gym at the Loews Hotel. We didn’t have time to access the gym there, but were happy to have that option which, would be a reason for us staying at the Hyatt Centric again next time we’re down in South Beach. The hotel is conveniently located to CVS and Walgreens, which were great to shop at for last-minute cruise supplies. There are also many places to eat within walking distance, along with shopping in the shops at the Lincoln Mall (an outdoor mall). We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Nice facility and location but food and service were horrible. I am a Globalist and booked this for my friend and daughter using a Guest of Honor award online. They did not feel like Guests of Honor. 1. Although I texted the hotel to add my friends name to the reservation - they didn't understand?! And she was unable to check in for hours till I called the hotel. They thought I wanted to add the actual Award to the reservation instead of a name... 2. There were 3 in the group and were told there was no upgrade AND they only had rooms with king beds so they all slept in one bed. 3. They were there for a concert and were told it would take 20 mins to get their car from the valet. It took over an hour and they were late to their show. 4. Breakfast took almost an hour as well. The place was crowded with one server and one cook (her first day on the job). My friend had once wedge potato that was black and rotten, when she bit into another wedge frozen water burst into her mouth - not a good experience. 5. The TV didn't work and they had to call maintenance Stay at the Regency instead.

Meh, kind of busted
Kind of old and busted. Not worth the price. Bathroom doors don't close all the way - no privacy. Shower poorly designed and leaks all over the entire floor. Bed uncomfortable. Pool area completely neglected and sad. Staff is "okay." If you can get a deal and don't need anything fancy or even close to "nice" then this place is fine.

Excellent hotel!
Great location, clean room, very friendly staff! Was very impressed with both check-in and check-out. Very nice rooftop pool, and close location to the beach.

Odd little hotel with reception and breakfast on the 3rd floor. Very nice staff, and good location for exploring South Miami Beach. Watch out for the resort fee. You'll be happy if you use the services, since you have to pay it anyway. Full breakfast, but it wasn't included. Parking is across the street in a public lot or else Valet parking for $45. You'll need to be ready to wait to get your car back, tho - 30-40 minutes.
