Average at best, but don't let them make a hold on your creditcard!!! They will charge you, after you leave...
The room was fine, nothing fancy. Only coffee maker, ask for an electrical kettle to boil water for the. They made a hold on my creditcard, which is normal, but what is NOT normal is that they charged my card after I left, even though my stay was payed up front, and the hold only was for unforeseen expenses. The amount that was charged, was not the amount for the stay, nor the amount for the tax. I called the Hyatt Centric 4 times now, each time I get a new person who tells me that they will look at the matter, but nothing happens. they charged me $312 and they can't explain why.... So far I used more time trying to get my money back than time spent on relaxation while staying there.....

Comfortable and Friendly
The beds were comfortable and clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a great size, with a large shower too. The window was huge, and we could see the sunrise from it. The pool was clean with ample seating around the deck and surrounding areas. The hotel is also conveniently located to the beach, shopping, restaurants. The area around the hotel was safe and we felt comfortable walking around at any time of the day. Overall our stay was great.

Good Value
Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami is not a luxury property but for about 1/3 the price of the W Miami Beach, it delivers a lot of value. Great location directly on Collins just steps from Lincoln Road and a few minutes walk to Ocean Drive, the rooms here are updated and the common areas are attractive. The beds are comfy and the showers are nice and well lit. The biggest negative about the rooms are the windows that don’t open. Coming to South Beach without the benefit of enjoying the warm, tropical air is not only disappointing for the guest but detrimental to the environment. This is even more appalling considering the hotel is in the first US city due to go underwater from sea level rise. Speaking of the environment, the hotel also has a love affair with single use plastic water bottles. Louie Aguirre would not be happy with Hyatt Centric “trashing our treasure.” Reusable bottles issued to guests and water machines throughout the hotel would make more sense. This isn’t the 1990s. In terms of service, the employees here are very friendly and courteous. The bellmen are excellent! They are at the front door always ready to assist and keep a watchful eye on who enters the property. Housekeeping is hella slow and inconsistent. One day I had to contact the front desk after 4pm to have my room serviced and, on another occasion, housekeeping finished up my room at 6:30pm, the hour when most hotels are doing turndown. Hotel guests have access to the Sea Spa gym, which is across the street; however, hours are limited. Guests also have access to the Loews beach club. One will need to take a phone or credit card if ordering food and drinks at the beach because Loews is not set up to do Hyatt Centric room charges. I enjoyed a 90-minute message at Sea Spa which was nice but the hard product is nothing special. They do have a nice steam room in the men’s locker room but, sadly, the relaxation room is dark and unappealing. This is not a spa at which you will want to linger. Overall the Hyatt Centric South Beach is not a bad hotel and certainly rewards nicely for the room rate. Personally, I don’t plan on ever returning because having windows that don’t open is a deal breaker for me at the beach.

Don’t book here
Horrible experience here. There was construction going on and the rooms are unfinished. Structures barely on the wall and tiles were lifted so don’t walk around without shoes on not even in the shower. Coffee maker and phone were both broke. I was injured due to construction and told management and I got an I don’t care attitude. I would steer clear of this place.

Eva, Suede
Great hotel, good pool area and breakfast, could use some more resourcing since it took a very long time in reception and restaurant, nice greetings, the entrance was under renovation and a bit hard to find. We got additional checkout time which was nice.
