  Bday trip

  My stay at RIU Plaza Panama was everything I needed and more for my birthday trip. From the moment I arrived, the energy, service, and overall vibe were top tier. The staff made me feel so special the entire time, and everything was clean, beautiful, and well put together. Waking up to those views from floor 33, enjoying the amenities, and just being able to relax and celebrate myself in such a gorgeous space… 10/10 experience. This hotel really knows how to make a birthday feel like a whole celebration. Thank you RIU!

  Central location, great views, great service

  I booked this hotel because of the ratings and the reasonable price. It absolutely did not disappoint! We requested a "high floor with a view of the city" and they put us on the top floor with a fantastic view. We felt safe and cared for all the time we were there (5 days). It is also centrally located and all other tours pick up from this hotel. It is within walking distance of a number of restaurants, and the in-hotel Spanish restaurant was one of our favorite. Don't waste your time/money at the pool-side hotel. Mediocre food and service, for us.

  Excellent location

  Our stay at the RIU Hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The moment we entered the foyer, we were greeted by a pleasant and inviting fragrance that immediately created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The guest rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, offering a wide variety of fresh and well-prepared options to suit every preference. Service throughout the hotel was exemplary — staff were consistently courteous, professional, and attentive to every detail. In addition, the property’s central location provided convenient access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping. Overall, the RIU Hotel delivered a superior hospitality experience, and we especially appreciated the quality and variety of the breakfast buffet. We highly recommend this hotel to travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and outstanding service.

  Very comfortable

  My suite was enormous but it wasn’t cleaned very well. Hairs and dust all over. The carpet smells like mildew. I was excited for a large two person jetted tub but found it was just a normal sized bath tub, and we didn’t even use it. Bed was comfortable, sheets were clean, pillows were nice. TVs aren’t connected to the internet so you can’t use any smart features or watch anything you want. They have 6-10 channels available and that’s all. Bring your own entertainment. The restaurant service was slow and unenthusiastic. We waited a very long time for everything, including the cheque. But the good and drinks were very tasty

  RIU is ok

  asked if ok with high level , and said ok, when we got to room the window looked clouded ovand bell hop said was on outside of window, clearly this was a window that lost its insulation and was foggy from within the glass. Other people travelling with us had a clear view. Management made up for it by providing food on our early departure Tuesday morning. They were aware that there are a few rooms like this and if that is the case then don't rent these out. Hotel was not at full capacity. It should not be up to us to change our room plus we were already unpacked. Excellent breakfast buffet on previous morning.
