Was looking for wharf hotel with a pool and walking distance to attractions. Hotel Rui was perfect. Parking is extra but plentiful in underground parking garage. Hotel seemed to bring an international crowd and the lobby and fire pits outside always busy. Didnt have the breakfast but there was a line to get in by 8:30am. Beds were extremely comfortable. Pool must have been heated as kids were in it until 9pm. I would stay again or recommend Hotel Rui for that area of San Francisco.

Great location and breakfast
Great location close to pier 39, cable car stops, tourist buses, etc. The breakfast buffet will save you a ton of money, specially if you have a big family. I went for breakfast as early as possible and did not have to wait, but I could see it get packed and a little hectic as I left. Great value for the price. Overall clean. No restaurant or room service, but I used Uber eats so no big deal. This can be your hub when exploring the city. Would return again. The breakfast is the difference maker for me as everything is so expensive in the city.

Great stay- had connecting rooms so had a good amount of space for my family of 5. Location was perfect, short walk to Pier 39 and busses/ trams. Rooms were a good size and very clean, beds were super comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay- Thank you

Comfort and Convenience
I cannot say enough good things about the comfort of this hotel. My stay at the Riu Plaza was seamless from start to finish. The highlight for me was definitely the location; staying right in the Historic District of San Francisco put me in the center of everything at the Fisherman's Wharf. Despite being in a busy area, the hotel felt like a calm retreat. The room was spacious and the bed provided a great night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was also delicious with plenty of options to start the day. What really stood out, however, was the service. The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, but I have to give a special mention to Mr. Prince at the luggage handling section. He was exceptionally hospitable and helpful, which made a great impression. If you are visiting SF and want a perfect location combined with genuine comfort and great people, stay here.

Great hotel and lovely management! :-)
We stayed here for two nights following a cruise. Room was lovely and bathroom was pleasant although the shower and sink water pressure could have been better. Breakfast also had a good range of produce to choose from and we had no problem getting a table at 0830. The first morning we had a rude awakening due to unexpected roadworks taking place directly outside our window. We spoke to the management who offered to change our room although we declined as we were out on tour all day and didn't want the trouble of repacking and relocating. So they kindly offered us a partial refund which was appreciated. I have already recommended this hotel to others since our stay - thank you!
