Mar 01, 2026Nice hotel - good food and service
A third time at the Riu, our family of four have always enjoyed staying at this all inclusive for its proximity to the beach and the easy walk to the strip. The food is good and service is always friendly. The hospitality staff always greet guests in the corridors and rooms are very well serviced. This time we were a little disappointed with how well-positioned sunbeds in the less-windy sunnier spots are always held - some for hours on end with no one using them. One day a couple had towels on for 3 hours before coming to the pool! I questioned this with the pool staff but was told they didn’t have authority to do anything. I’d suggest that this is changed. Also, I’m not sure why we were asked to book in online in advance but then had to go through the online booking again at the desk which took over 20 minutes late in the evening after 6 hours of travel. Minimising this waiting time would be better for tired guests. Overall, we enjoyed the week and would return.

Absolutely FABULOUS HOTEL From our arrival to departure we really enjoyed a lovely holiday. Our room was overlooking the pool and also, offered a seaview in the main hotel area - It was clean and very comfortable with a balcony. The hotel atmosphere is buzzing and everyone appeared to be having a lovely relaxing holiday. The entertainment staff in the day and night were all so talented and Amazing . The bar staff ,restaurant staff , cleaners, reception and all other staff did such a wonderful job at making sure they maintained excellent standards to keep happy customers 👏 The food is a "WoW!" factor so well presented and such a lovely choice .The restaurants are so spacious and so clean with happy staff. We had no problem booking the speciality restaurants that were also wonderful. The evening entertainment was Superb... The hotel location is about a 20 minute walk into the main strip of Peurto del Carmen - a great walk.. A massive theankyou to this hotel for a really fab holiday .We hope to return one day 🙏 🙂 The Stanley's

Upon arrival to the hotel we received the usual friendly & efficient check-in. Our room was ready which was a bonus as it meant we could start to enjoy our holiday straight away. As with all RIU Hotels the staff work exceptionally hard to ensure all areas are spotlessly clean and comfortable. Every member of staff we encountered from the grounds men, cleaners, bar staff etc always greeted you with a friendly hello. We have stayed in many RIU Hotels but this was our first time in Lanzarote and it certainly won't be our last. Keep up the good work and we look forward to staying with RIU hotels & in Lanzarote again soon.

The Riu Paraiso is a solid 4 star resort hotel
We enjoyed adding this.venue to our list of Riu hotels.The highlights of this hotel are,all staff,low rise,cleanliness,gardens and the bedrooms.The food was up to 4 star standard but needs variation, alcohol was local but the draft beer was Amstel and Cruz Campo RadlerThe pool towel situation is pre booking beds is annoying and the hotel should enforce policy, perhaps no more than 90 minutes away from your lounger.?Special mention to the Animation team & DJ and lighting engineer Daniel (o) from Torino 🥃

Hubbys Bday Xx
Sorry for the late review, we came to Riu Paraiso last month for 6 days for my Hubbys bday, what a luvley hotel, welcoming reception staff, except for one man who was off with us in our last day, we were in Block 1, luvley room, just a twin room but spacious even for me who brings loadza shoes & clothes & bags hahah, food was good, even fussy eaters like me could find something, alcohol was ok, I’ve tasted worse, but we found nothing wrong with whatever we tried, the grounds are massive, well kept, cleaners in the go all the time, all staff polite, happy, Only watched a couple of shows has we’ve seen some of them in previous Riu hotels we have been, the surrounding are is a nice walk either way you go, Puerto del Carmen or Los Pocillos, we did venture out quite a few times which is what we like to do We are coming back in May for a week then back again in Feb 27, for my Hubbys 60th, just so grateful that we can get away on holidays See you in May Xx😘
