Mar 21, 2026What a gem!
From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice in booking a place to stay! The little extra expense for an ocean view was money very well spent. The views were spectacular, and we even caught a rainbow! Location was perfect for Beach Access and plenty of restaurant choices in walking distance. The restaurant on site, Le Sud, was an unexpected delight. Live music nights were fun and carefree. The food and service, excellent. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay
Checking in att La Plantation was amazing. Beautiful pool are, great food at the restaurant Le Sud and spacious clean rooms. Service was great. We requested a baby crib which was all set up for us when we arrived. I definitely recommend staying here! A minus would be the area is not very walkable, no sidewalks, which was challenging with a baby stroller.

Pleasantly surprised
We have stayed in orient beach area several times, however, this was our first stay at this location. We were very happy with our decision. We obviously had a renovated room as it was all new. Large and airy room with cathedral ceilings, two patio doors and small kitchen area. The patio was large with table and chairs and 2 lounge chairs. We had a nice view although we did not spend much time out there. The bathroom had natural light from 2 windows and good lighting at night for makeup applications. Rainforest shower head as well as a hand held. Always lots of hot water with good pressure. The bed was comfortable with an overhead ceiling fan. The only issue we had was working the tv. There was a trick to getting it on and didn’t get the secret until the last day we were leaving. I did suggest they leave an instruction sheet for technically challenged guests. Our trip came with breakfast buffet. Always lots of food. Hot section had scrambled eggs/bacon/sausage/cheese and ham. Also lots of croissants or cereal. The hotel was within walking distance to restaurants and the beach. No rental car would be needed. There was a pool at the hotel but only about 8-10 lounges. We are not pool people, so we didn’t care. We enjoyed our stay at this resort and would not hesitate to return.

We stayed here for four nights in January and were very happy with our stay. The villa apartment was a quick walk from reception and restaurant with a beautiful view over lush tropical vegetation to the bay. It was spacious, clean, modern and quiet - I believe they recently renovated the rooms. The kitchenette was equipped ok for small and simple meals but not for anything more elaborate. We found the bed super comfy and slept so well - the a/c was thankfully positioned away from the bed. The breakfast was just ok, nothing special except the croissants were very nice. Any special coffees have to be ordered and are charged separately and fresh fruit bowls are included but also need to be ordered separately. One morning they had no butter, another they took a long time to provide fresh coffee. There were no veggies like cucumbers or tomatoes or sauteed mushrooms. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes down the hill and we went to Coco Beach Club every day which we found looked most appealing of the four clubs that hotel guests have access to. Make sure you reserve because it gets full especially on weekends. The beach is beautiful and our stay was so relaxing. If the waves were rough we went to the far end of the bay where it was quieter. We didn’t rent a car but stopped with the taxi at the supermarket on the way from the airport to stock up on water, snacks and some drinks. There’s also a lovely French supermarket in the village with all kinds of delicious items that’s worth going to. The walk to the village at night is a pleasant 10 min walk, and you’ll find restaurants, spa, post office, bars etc there. The hotel also organized us a massage in our room with Maria which was lovely. And they let us check out late on the last day. We didn’t want to leave and would definitely come back.

Jan 16, 2026Do not believe the pictures on the website and location of the hotel
The pictures do not reflect the actual views. No slippers or robes in the rooms. Blow drier is outdated looks like a tube with the hole. Most importantly the distance from the hotel to the beach at least 13 min but not 5 min as indicated on the website. The towel exchange can be done only in the hotel so you stay with one towel on the beach. Being hotel guest you can occupy for free only the third row of beach chairs. I had a bad experience withthe manager of the hotel Claudia Compere. Absolutely indifferent individual. I had two paid but unused nights , asked her for free brakfast she answered negetavely . Breakfast are low cost , lower than average with no assrtoment at all. 25 Euro per person , not worth it at all.
