    Great Place to be - Finetuning required

    We have been at this great location multiple times. For people, who love golf and a quiet environment this is the place to be. Breakfast great and dinner enjoyable with daily options changing. Tick in the box. The pool area though needs maintenance - sun lounger cushions were substandard, dirty and broken. Same for sun loungers. Poolside umbrellas old, rare and non movable due to massive concrete umbrella bases. Towels only available at request. Airconditioning in our Suite was leaking massively - fixed quickly but not sure if sustainably. We will pause for 1 year to visit this place and cross fingers, that issues will be fixed by 2027.

    Relaxed luxury in a glorious setting.

    This was our third visit in three years and the quality is still aspirational. We caught the tail end of a major storm but after day 2 the weather was good. Our junior suite was at pool deck level with a great view - roughly like the picture alongside. Attention to detail in the hotel is impressive. We were on a half board package and the buffet dinners were always great, with a different partial theme every day - shellfish, Japanese, Italian, etc, but with a good variety of meats grilled to order and prepared hot and cold dishes on offer. We didn't feel the need to try the additional-cost a-la-carte and Italian restautants. As the dishes change substantially every evening I made sure I tried every dish I fancied and I put on a few kilos over the week! The golf course survived the storm well and apart from evidence of over-use on the tees (it is well used) the course was in great condition and still offers a variety of challenges for golfers of all abilities. We used a buggy every day but played with other couples using trollies, and we saw some golfers carry their clubs. We heard that it gets really busy in the afternoons when the cruise ships deliver busloads of golfers for twilight golf. We had use of the spa and it was great for relaxation and revitalisation after a strenuous round of golf. It is good to get this included in the package. The hotel is adults-only and is a great example of luxury without bling and glitz. It offers relaxed comfort in a colonial-style setting that meets the needs of those prepared to pay a little more for the experience. We booked everything in a single phone call to Jet2 holidays and got a good package with complimentary car - they don't do a coach transfer to this hotel. We would book with them again.

    Leaking ceiling in room 402

    We had a leaking ceiling in our room which resulted in “dripping” overnight onto the tiled floor and despite reporting this after the first time it happened, it unfortunately happened again the night after so had not been resolved. We explained the issue again and that we had now had 2 nights of disturbed sleep and were offered to move rooms. However, no voucher/discount was offered for the inconvenience of both the disturbed sleep or the need to move room and in the end we decided to leave a day early rather than the hassle of moving rooms. We were then refunded for the night we did not stay but had to check out at normal time so not even any flexibility there despite the issues being nothing to do with us. All this was done with good grace and smiles on both sides but I think such an exclusive hotel should be more mindful of how it deals with guests that are affected by issues with the hotel. It spoiled what would otherwise have been a lovely stay.

    Beautifully Clean Hotel, But Lacking Warmth and Leadership

    We recently stayed at Hacienda del Conde and found many things to like — the property is immaculate, housekeeping excellent, and the quality of the toiletries, towels, and bedding first-class. The buffet restaurant also offered a very good variety and quality of food. However, our room was located on the lowest level of the hotel with a poor view, and there was no help with luggage on arrival. That said, while we were at golf, my wife did later receive helpful assistance in getting our luggage to room 326. The golf shuttle was also unavailable when needed. What stood out most was the lack of warmth and visible management. Staff were courteous and hardworking, but there was no one greeting guests at the restaurant or providing direction — surprising for a 5-star Meliá property. We shared our feedback directly with the Guest Experience Manager and copied in the General Manager, but received no meaningful acknowledgment from senior management, which was disappointing given our long-standing loyalty to the brand. This is a beautiful property in an exceptional setting, but it would benefit greatly from stronger, more visible leadership to bring out its full potential and deliver the warm, personal service that usually defines Meliá hotels.

    Excellent Second Stay!

    SECOND EXCELLENT STAY! We recently stayed at Hacienda del Conde (for the second time this year) and our stay was simply excellent. It was very nice to see familiar faces and we genuinely felt welcome (back!). Sandro was very welcoming and helpful and he gave us some great restaurant recommendations on the island! The staff went the extra mile to give us the same suite as the one we had in May (Room 605). The food at the restaurant was fantastic! The hotel is truly well managed and Naiara Gomez Bermejo (General Manager) does an excellent job! Congratulations! Hacienda del Conde is our one and only choice in Tenerife! We will be back in April next year!
