    Don’t leave your meds out.

The room was cleaned daily. Bed was comfortable. Staff was pleasant. My issue was my missing meds. Three nighttime meds on the bedside table. Other items left untouched. No I didn’t misplace them. No I’m not mistaken. Pleasant stay however don’t leave any needed meds. They will take/steal them. Who knows what else is missing?

Hotel is NOT in the Denver Tech Center. Good staff, but housekeeping is a hit or a miss. Mold and mildew in shower.

I've stayed here a few times, although it's been over a year since my last stay. Location wise, the hotel is very good for anyone needing to be in the suburbs of Denver. Denver proper starts and ends 2 or 3 miles up the road. Lone Tree, Greenwood Village, Centennial, etc. are nearby. Despite its name and Holiday Inn/IHG marketing of the property, the hotel is NOT in the Denver Tech Center. I've mentioned this before. The Denver Tech Center is at least 10 minutes by car, depending on traffic and which way you go. This hotel should be called the Holiday Inn Centennial Airport. This is circa 2016 Holiday Inn that is starting to show its age. At 7 or 8 years old, the hotel is starting to get to the point where it needs some updating. I had a king suite on the fourth floor. This is the hotel's best and most expensive category of rooms. No USB outlets anywhere in the room, except an alarm clock that was broken and didn't work. Only two electrical outlets at the desk; both on the lamp. I had two TVs. One in the bedroom and one in the living area. Both TVs are smaller than you expect at a hotel in the year 2024. If I had to guess, the TVs are between 38 and 42 inches. Most hotels have 50-55 inch TVs. No smart TV capability whatsoever. Some visible wear-and-tear. Walls in the hallway are scuffed and scratched. The sofa looked a little worn and had a couple of stains. The walk-in shower in the bathroom had visible mold and mildew. That's just not acceptable at a Holiday Inn-branded hotel. Besides wall-mounted dispensers containing hand wash, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, no other amenities were provided. Not even a bar of soap or a packaged cleansing cloth. As a suite, my room had a small kitchenette and bar counter. The refrigerator was smaller than the fridge at a Holiday Inn Express. There was a small 0.7 cubic feet microwave from Danby (a brand I've never heard of) and a Keurig coffeemaker. In the cabinets were paper plates, plastic cutlery, and a corkscrew. On the wall was a dispenser with what was labeled as dish soap. There was also a dispenser with paper towels. Two plastic-wrapped drinking cups were provided in addition to two plastic-wrapped coffee cups. Nothing else even though the kitchenette looked like it had originally had real plates, etc. At least judging from the amount of empty space in the cabinets and countertop area. My bed was very comfortable, although the duvet was the waffled polyester-blend that seems to be standard at Holiday Inn Express. Normally, it's a different duvet at Holiday Inn. The gym is newish, large and well-equipped. Quite good by Holiday Inn standards. There's an indoor pool, although I didn't try it. There's also a lighted patio but it's strangely located off the pool instead of the lobby bar/restaurant. It would make more sense to have it by the bar/restaurant. While tourist magazines and assorted brochures are stocked in the lobby, no newspapers are provided. The business center consists of a computer and printer off the side of the lobby. The computer was broken. Speaking of the bar/restaurant, the hotel has a bar/restaurant branded as Burger Theory. Burger Theory is a 10-year-old hotel restaurant concept that Holiday Inn developed. It's a little tired these days. I can't speak to the burgers, but the breakfast is fairly typical. Breakfast was included for me. Bianca, the server, has worked here at least 2 or 3 years. She's polite and does a good job. She is generally alone, outside whomever is working in the kitchen. The eggs and omelets are good. In the past, they've occasionally only offered a breakfast buffet that was pretty low-end and not as good as the free breakfast buffet at a Holiday Inn Express or Marriott Fairfield. If you order eggs off the menu, you're at least guaranteed to have a freshly cooked meal. At night, there's a full bar. The wine selection is fairly low-end, although the Chateau Ste. Michelle chardonnay is decent enough. I asked for a fresh bottle to be opened and the bartender gladly obliged as he didn't know how long the previously opened bottle had been in the refrigerator. If the hotel had offered me a free or discounted appetizer, I might have ordered a glass of wine (or vice versa). Housekeeping is hit or miss. The housekeepers appear to be third-party contracted staff, not actual hotel employees. They didn't wear uniforms. While they did a good job cleaning my room (excluding the bathroom with the mold/mildew in the shower), they never put pillowcases on the pillows. The housekeepers seem to be contracted staff who are finished working for the day by 2 or 3 pm. Full-service hotels typically have housekeepers on duty until the early evening. There's a small pantry off the front desk that is reasonably well-stocked. It includes a few Colorado souvenirs, like t-shirts and postcards. It's always nice to buy some postcards and send them to friends or family. Outside the hotel, a Starbucks is located across the parking lot, there's a Maverick gas station at the other end of the street, and Walmart is less than 5 minutes away. In terms of IHG benefits or elite recognition, IHG diamond elite status guests get their breakfast benefit. The front desk was also proactive with a suite upgrade. I booked a suite for the first night and a standard room the second night. They kept me in the suite for the second night with no pushback whatsoever. I also received a choice of a $10 voucher or IHG points at check-in. That was in addition to two free bottles of water. I would have preferred my choice of a soft drink from the pantry since there is a free water tap near the elevators to fill water bottles. But that's just my personal opinion. The staff at the front desk were polite, friendly and the kind of people I would hire if I owned a hotel. With all of this said, the biggest issue I had and the biggest issue I've had over multiple stays going back 2 or 3 years is the overall standard. Holiday Inn is supposed to be a full-service hotel brand. While there's a bar/restaurant, that's the only thing separating this hotel from a Holiday Inn Express. There doesn't seem to be any staff besides 2 or 3 staff in the restaurant, 1 person at the front desk and maybe a manager or supervisor in the back office. I don't know if there's a general manager on-property. I never saw anyone who looked like a maintenance employee or houseman. When housekeeping made up my room but never put pillowcases on the pillows, the front desk staff member had to close the front desk and personally bring up pillowcases to my room. At a properly staffed full-service hotel a houseman or housekeeper would do this. This seemed to be a reoccurring issue because I repeatedly saw a "I'll be right back" sign at the front desk. If you want a hotel with more amenities and more services there are a few other options in the immediate area. I really don't understand the brand positioning of this property. It's basically just a Holiday Inn Express/Hampton Inn/Fairfield Inn with a real bar and restaurant. At under $140, it's a good value. But at $180-$250 (or more) per night, you should stay at another hotel as there are better values in the immediate area. All things considered, the Holiday Inn has a reasonably good location even though it isn't in the Denver Tech Center. The surrounding area is also safe, unlike some other parts of Denver. I would consider staying here again if the rate was good. However, I would like to see some maintenance in the rooms and a light update to include power strips with additional USB and electrical outlets.

    Satisfied with hotel

Overall, a pretty nice hotel. Rooms were clean. We didn't pay for the breakfast at Burger Theory, but the hotel did have free coffee which was good. There is a Natural Grocers across the street which is nice. One complaint is we registered for 4 people but the room only had 3 towels. Staff was nice enough to call us to let us know that our daughter left her pillow at the hotel.

Great Hotel, Poor staff prevalent amongst Stars

I’ve been staying here off and on for weeks at a time. First, let’s start with the positive: they have some great employees, to name a few - Tyler, Donna, Jessica. However, for every great employee they have, they have several that ruin the experience. To start with, Garrod who works nights at the bar is far from friendly. He’s told my kids they cannot carry down water glasses back to the bar from the room. When asking about a former employee who used to work there, he accuses me of being a “creep”. The former employee I was asking about (Sam) is super nice. Garrod claims to have never met her, yet openly calls this out in front of other guests. Garrod certainly has his favorites. He’s good at pouring beers and that’s about the sum of all things good about him. I had an issue where I had paid for breakfast vouchers through Walmart Travel, which books through Expedia, then transmits to the hotel. There was an issue in the transmission and it said I didn’t get free breakfast. While the front desk made it right after showing them, Jacob (the General Manager) advised me he looked up the rate and said the hotel wasn’t getting reimbursed enough to get me free breakfast. Jacob got promoted out of the kitchen to general manager, yet he refuses to allow Star employees like Jessica to take on evening shifts. Instead, he hires externally while they have capable and willing employees internally to take the shifts. It’s as if he forgot he, himself was promoted out of the kitchen and then scoffs at others who were once in his position. One time when asking him about foamy lines of beer over lunch, he told me “that’s because you’re the only one drinking during lunch”. His customer service is far from par. I’ve stayed here over thirty nights over the last two months, but due to Jacob and Garrod, this will be my last stay at this hotel. I met the owners informally when they were having an invite. What a sweet and kind group of people. I wish I could tell them their stars and their problem employees. I’m sure if they knew, they’d correct these wrongs. What would it take for Jacob to give me breakfast vouchers instead of arguing, when I’ve been spending $3k plus here a month. Oh well, sometimes the narrow minded don’t realize. I hope the stars here get promoted and the slackers get demoted. It seems Jacob and Garrod are friends, and promote white people hiring, while poor Jessica is of Hispanic descent and Jacob won’t give her the night shift, but instead hires a white woman to take the shift Jessica wanted. They don’t deserve Jessica. I’m hoping she applies to a new hotel that deserves her.

    Excellent from management to housekeeping

My husband and I needed to stay at a local hotel while our place was getting renovated. The staff was amazing from management to housekeeping. We ended up having to stay over 40 days and everyone was so accommodating during this stressful time. The location was convenient. The hotel was kept up really well. They really care about how everything looks and how they make you feel. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this location.
