Horrible condition of property and bugs
This hotel was very run down and in horrible repair. Our first room had extensive damage and mold. Moved to a second room and Our patio doors did not fully close, letting in lots of bugs and it did not lock so we had to block it with a couch. The front door sticks because the latch is also broken. Carpet didn’t meet the wall and was frayed. Lots of broken cupboards and appliances in kitchen. Loft area has several soft spots in the floor, very unstable. Woke up to bugs in our bed. Yuck!!! Elevator also had soft spots in the floor. And on top of all of the room issues, the resort has no amenities after 5pm. Water park and golf close at 5. They charge for the outdoor separate water park even if you won’t be using it. Horrible experience. Will never stay again.

Hidden fees
Beware there are hidden fees (resort fees). Nothing was mentioned when I made my reservation a week prior to our stay or when I returned the keys. I was asked for a credit card when I checked in. I paid over 600 dollars for 1 night for 4 adults. The place could do with some updating in the rooms. It was clean. Not that the resort fees were high 70 dollars but I should have been told.

Great Customer Service and Location
Booked this online with no knowledge of the area or hotel. Great location! Russ checked us in and was absolutely fantastic. Helped us out with food and great knowledge of the area. Great prices and our room was recently updated. Couldn’t ask for more!

BEWARE!! DONT STAY HERE
The manager, Mario, , was rude and has 0 skills in dealing with the public. He is dishonest. The « sunset » view was a parking lot view ONLY. Mario said they called it that bc people didn’t want to overlook the parking lot. On the first day, they gave us a room as far as possible from the elevator which was very difficult for my 81 year old husband. Then they moved us to a room where the sliding doors did not shut. There was a large gap that any insect, mosquitoes or snake could have gotten through and clearly anyone could have pushed them open to enter. . Then they moved us to another room. This was all on the first day. All 3 smelled AWFUL, the jacuzzi tub was too dirty to use. They promised to move us to another room with water view the next day. The first one was accessible by stairs only, which was impossible for my husband and since we had a lot of luggage. Another room came available at 1pm. It was TINY but called a suite, the AC wasn’t working, and the furniture was broken and beat up. Take a look at the coffe table leg below. BWhen I complained Mario said we could go back to THE PREVIOUS ROOM!!! When I said we would just leave then. Mario said we had to pay a half day , nearly $200 with tax because it was 1pm. If Mario had been honest that he was going to give us a trashed room, we would have left at 8am. DECEITFUL !!! Do yourself a favor and spend a few extra dollars and go to a better resort in Clearwater Beach. At $400 a night it’s absurd here. At $50 A night it would still be too expensive for such a dirty foul smelling place.

Resort fees are too much.
We do like this area a lot, but they recently started charging $33 resort fee a night which is ridiculous for this hotel. They say this covers your parking plus a ticket to the water park next-door, per STAY. They used to have free parking and next doors waterpark was about $15 admission so it’s really an over priced resort fee. We don’t go to Vegas anymore because of these resort fees. Thumbs down to the resort fees. For that price we will probably now stay in Clearwater.
