Terrible rooms, decent views. Wouldn’t stay again
Firstly, the room I booked was not the room I got. I paid over $500 a night to get a 2 bedroom suit that originally had pictures and descriptions of a gulf view but when we checked in on Christmas Eve all we had a view of was the wall of the building next door. Additionally my bedroom door was directly across from the only Ice machine anyone could find in the hotel and it was super loud when people were using it all times of night. Lastly, my air conditioner sounded like a freight train every time it started up and between all the noises I woke up 5x or more a night. I must have pissed off the Holiday Inn Gods for getting this room because I will never stay in one again after this experience. Next, the sheets and bathroom were dirty, stains in multiple places on the sheets and some weird substance caked onto the bathroom floor by the shower. The restaurant was convenient but SOOO SLOW. We ate there 4 dinner days and every time it took us over 30 minutes just to pay. The food came out extremely fast and was good but the servers were incredibly slow. The only good thing was the views from the water view deck area, but there’s barely any umbrellas or shade by the pool. Ultimately felt like the room was a bait and switch especially after I got this as a present for my parents for Christmas and the room was so disappointing.

Only good for the views
The best thing about this hotel is the views if you get the Gulf front rooms. The pool is quite chilly during winter months, would be amazing if they offered a hot tub. They advertise for an arcade but it has been closed the last 4 years. No breakfast unless you go to the restuarant located down stairs in which their food is not always consistent and management is not friendly. To add to it the rooms smell musty and they charge roughly $42 daily for a "resort fee" in addition to you already paying to stay at the hotel.

Great Place to stay!!
We had a great experience with our recent stay at Holiday Inn Clearwater Beach, Florida. Our room overlooked the Gulf and a channel that several watercraft boats used. Below our balcony was a restaurant with nightly entertainment that we could enjoy from our balcony. The room was cleaned daily! All of the staff was very friendly. The food was delicious and fairly priced. There was no extra charge for parking.

Great hotel.
We just loved our one night stay at the Holiday Inn! We had booked the night using our IHG credit card free night and the reservation indicated a street side view. Upon entering our 3rd floor room, we were surprised to see we had a corner room with a balcony facing the gulf! What an amazing view! The room was spacious with 2 queen beds, a table with chairs for dining, and a wet bar area with a fridge, microwave and small sink. Everything one could possibly need. The hotel is 7 stories in the section we were in so they likely had better views but ours was perfectly fine. We were even able to listen to the music from the restaurant deck downstairs. We did have lunch and breakfast there and the food was good. Unfortunately it was very warm inside due to the heat from outside. Pool area was quiet with a few kids but they were behaving nicely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Parking was included in the resort fee but all of the hotels in the area charged for pkg. It was also an easy walk to places nearby but we limited our time outdoors since it was so hot and humid.

A nice but not spectacular hotel.
Just returned from 4 days at the Holiday Inn. On the positive side, the room was a good size and comfortable, the pool area was great, with nice views out onto the sea, we even saw dolphins playing! Restaurant had a good selection of food although we didn’t really eat there. Staff all friendly. The location is brilliant with a short walk to the beach and pier. On the not so positive side. The rooms are a bit tired especially the AC units. The room we had looked out onto the wall of the other side of the hotel, so not nice, avoid if you can. The kids free dinners( evening )only came with the 5 or six most expensive dishes, all of which were fish( great if you love fish, but we only like it a bit and not at the price here when could get it elsewhere cheaper). Would I go back again? Maybe.
