The only positives about the stay was the 2 bedroom suite was spacious and the hotel restaurant (Jimmy’s) had nice staff. The front desk staff were not friendly or accommodating at all. The rooms were dated and showed a lot of wear and tear. The mattress was so old every move we made would make loud sounds. The sconces were missing by the bed showing just two empty holes where they were supposed to be. We did ask for a different room when first seeing it, but the front desk lady just mumbled, looked at the computer for 20 seconds, and said no. The game room was closed. The staff at the restaurant told us kids eat free, which we were not told by the hotel staff ever and we were not given any vouchers. The website shows a large balcony connected to the 2 bedroom suite, however the front desk informed us no 2 bedroom suite has a large balcony. I would not stay at this hotel again and felt compelled to warn other families going on a vacation to choose another hotel.

The rudest staff I have ever encountered .Front desk ignorant.Now I know why I go to Hyatt properties only Wow is all I can say and do not stay here

This is a wonderful little gem of a hotel in a fantastic location with great food and drinks at Jimmy’s Fish House. Both the restaurant and the pool overlooks the water for dolphin watching and gorgeous sunsets at night. We had EXCEPTIONAL customer service provided by a gal named Aide both when we called with questions in advance and when she then checked us in upon arrival! She even provided a nice complimentary room upgrade to a suite with my Diamond status with IHG and it was greatly appreciated and enjoyed. We’ve stayed here in years past, but they’ve since removed the carpet and updated the rooms with very nice vinyl plank flooring throughout, new modern furniture and big screen tvs. We’ll definitely be back, soon I hope!

We got a good deal for a weekend after Christmas and stayed in a suite overlooking gulf. It was the best room suite with 2 bathrooms. We got to watch beautiful sunset from our room balcony. Hotel staff was very helpful when I needed extra toiletries that I forgot to pack. Onsite restaurant is pricey but environment is beautiful and they had live music over the weekend. I took 1 star off because that entertainment was little louder even with windows closed on high floor when my sick kiddo wanted to sleep at 8pm.

Terrible rooms, decent views. Wouldn’t stay again
Firstly, the room I booked was not the room I got. I paid over $500 a night to get a 2 bedroom suit that originally had pictures and descriptions of a gulf view but when we checked in on Christmas Eve all we had a view of was the wall of the building next door. Additionally my bedroom door was directly across from the only Ice machine anyone could find in the hotel and it was super loud when people were using it all times of night. Lastly, my air conditioner sounded like a freight train every time it started up and between all the noises I woke up 5x or more a night. I must have pissed off the Holiday Inn Gods for getting this room because I will never stay in one again after this experience. Next, the sheets and bathroom were dirty, stains in multiple places on the sheets and some weird substance caked onto the bathroom floor by the shower. The restaurant was convenient but SOOO SLOW. We ate there 4 dinner days and every time it took us over 30 minutes just to pay. The food came out extremely fast and was good but the servers were incredibly slow. The only good thing was the views from the water view deck area, but there’s barely any umbrellas or shade by the pool. Ultimately felt like the room was a bait and switch especially after I got this as a present for my parents for Christmas and the room was so disappointing.
