Great except for undisclosed parking fee
My wife and I stayed here during the NCAA basketball playoffs. Overall our stay was excellent with a couple of exceptions. The location was great, with only a short drive to the arena for the games. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel provided free shuttle service to Old Town and a nearby restaurant they suggested. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would have gladly given the hotel a five star rating except for two items: First, the hotel charges $25/night to park. This charge was never disclosed anywhere during the booking process or in our confirmation email. That extra $25 per night made the hotel overpriced. The other issue was that the room air conditioner was very noisy. The first night it kept waking us up so the following nights we had to cool the room off before we went to bed and then turn the unit off.

Very well kept and cared for hotel.
Visited for Savannah Bananas. I could tell right away, this hotel is very well cared for. Our group of 5 fit easily into their luxury Mercedes shuttles, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was excellent and everything the family could ask for. The front desk staff each night was friendly and welcoming. All of the drivers were friendly. And, One of the shuttle drivers, Nick, went out of his way to take our family to the airport when we hadn’t signed up (Woops, that’s something to pay attention to!) - we missed the cut off and he took us anyways. We relied on the shuttle and San Diego’s amazing MTS tram/rail system to get around… couldn’t be easier. Didn’t need a rental car at all. They can’t really do anything about it, but the freeway traffic is LOOOOUD, so if you have sensitive sleepers, just prepare for that. It isn’t really a dealbreaker for us but some people may want headphones or something. Just putting that out there. It isn’t their fault, it just is, but people should be aware of that. The 24/7 sundries shop is nice too… lots of hotels close those little shops at 10pm/11pm. Not this hotel. Came in handy after a very late night traversing Gaslamp! Easy trip into Old Town, via hotel shuttle, and the tram gets you juuuuust about anywhere you’d wanna go. Be aware you’ll need to use separate credit cards / ApplePay for each adult in your party, our kids were free but my wife and I both needed to buy our own tickets. I could buy both on one CC. Easy enough to work aroundat the kiosk but just be advised. No doubt at all we would stay here again without hesitation. The staff was all so friendly, everything was clean and well maintained, i have seen hotels at twice this price point fall short of the standard that this property demonstrates.

Convenient but Meh Comfort
Definitely meets all the needs but the HVAC didn’t work and the walls are pretty thin so not the best night’s sleep.
