    Renovation will provide increased ratings

    Average hotel experience for one night in Cairns. The rooms have an outdoor entry which is always a concern and the amenities are current with mid level lodging. The room was clean and comfortable. There needs to be some renovations.

    Great Oceanview. Convenient to Airport, Night Market, Pharmacy and Grocery Store

    The deluxe room is huge. All the space you need. Comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast is ok. Enough options for you to find something to satisfy. Only negative was when I returned from a day tour to find a cleaner left my room door open.

    Well-located hotel, up to Doubletree standards.

    Hotel is well located, a short walk from the restaurants, but in a quiet area. Easy walk across the street to the Promenade along the waterfront. Front desk service was great, with special thanks to Rachelle and Max for their attention to our requests. Rachelle had towels waiting for us at the front desk. Door to the room was repaired within 5 minutes of my request. Breakfast buffet was quite good, offering omelets made to order. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was nice, but weirdly located right on the Esplanade sidewalk. The food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner is good.

    Lovely hotel with a great holiday vibe and a few bumps to iron out

    We came here as part of a tour group & had a very warm efficient welcome. This ia a lovely hotel which has been refurbed. We had a lovely room overlooking the bay & esplanade. It was very clean the bed was seriously comfortable with nice linens. A decent bathroom with a powerful shower & excellent aircon. The wifi was a bit weird & sometimes wouldn't download messages until you were out of your room! It had a decent basic gym with the usual cardio machines & a technogym bench with dumbells & a life-fitness multi-gym. We had a bad experience at the Vine restaurant - 40 mins for drinks to arrive, even longer for the starter & then raw fish served as my main meal. They did take it away & cooked it. Then as I finished they delivered another one! My husband's main course wasn't what he ordered either. We also spent a day by the very nice pool with comfy sunloungers & great service

    Double Tree, International standard in Cairns

    Cairns Double Tree has just become number one in Hotel quality, in service, in food, in ambience with the newly completed renovation and upgrade. It is a superb quality, exceptional service by Andrea. Accolades to the Head Chef, a menu that other Hotels need to take notice of. Reasonable pricing for super quality …and super presentation. Good on you Double Tree, you show it can be done!
