Feb 09, 2026An Overall Wonderful Vacation
I was looking for a place to relax and unwind during a challenging and tiring chapter in my life. Overall I was very happy with the stay. It was ideal having a room overlooking the ocean, being able to sit on the deck and enjoy the water, or leave my patio doors open at night to sleep with the sounds of the waves. I asked to be in the Adults Only section, for a quieter experience, and they accommodated my request. Staff were consistently friendly. Even when there were a couple of glitches, management staff responded in a prompt and efficient way. Like most resorts, while they say you can’t save beach chairs, everyone does so, and so it helps to get up early and choose a good spot. The towels were plentiful and comfortable. The workout facility is surprisingly good, one of the best I’ve found at a resort. Outside running is challenging, though. I tried running on the roads leading from the hotel, and even early, there’s very little shoulder and had to frequently stop to let cars pass. The beach is short, bounded by rocks on both sides. At fairly low tide I could run along the beach, back and forth. If you’re a runner, check the tide tables to find the best days for running. Most people were running on treadmills at the workout facility, but I was happier having a less-than-ideal run but being right along the water. The food was mostly really good. Breakfast at the buffet is very good. The wait staff were all good there. Mario is one of the ones I particularly liked. The rest of the day I found it quite mediocre. During the day there was a BBQ on the beach that was good. It’s important to make dinner reservations at one of the restaurants. My favorite was the Asian. Samuel was a particularly friendly, engaging and attentive waiter there. Definitely get the tuna tataki and the Korean ribs. The steak restaurant was OK, as were the Italian and Mexican. I didn’t do any excursions. I went into town once to do a little shopping. Mostly I wanted to stay at the resort and relax. I got one massage that was very good, from Gabriela. I did the hydrotherapy circuit twice (sauna, steam, whirlpool, cold pool). The sauna was having some electrical problems, the rest was good, and that circuit ends with a nice relaxation touch, cucumber slices over your eyes and a scalp massage. They brought tea and snacks along the way, which very much added to the experience. For people who are into sunbathing, the resort is situated such that there’s a shadow over the pools and lawn chairs until after noon. Adults can go to the Sky Bar and get sun up there.

2026 was an excellent vacation at Hilton Riviera Puerto Vallarta
2026 was an excellent vacation at Hilton Vallarta Riviera We were greeted with open arms and Chief Concierge (Ernesto Cadena) made us great accommodation for my 8 day birthday (65 young) vacation. We have visited this resort yearly ever since it opened and have enjoyed every visit. We entered our room and my wife saw red and white ballons everywhere, champagne, cake and a birthday greeting. In the mornings Jorge in the Enclave lounge made us the best bloody Mary with tequila. Two special beach servers, Ernesto and Melquiades attended to our request and did a great job. Plus, the chicken wings and burgers are great. We go whale watching every year (10years running) with the same crew from Cielito Lindo tours and this year was exceptional. You can see humpback whales and manta rays from your hotel room, which is amazing too. The resort has great food and nightly entertainment. The concierge team in the Enclave lounge was great and special thanks to Jorge for helping us navigate around the demand for justice protest which was blocking the highway to airport. We have had the same housekeeper since our first visit, Claudia who remembered us and did an exceptional job with our room. Breakfast buffet always had a great selection of food and Gorge and Isela were on top of our morning beverages. My wife and myself want to say Thank You very much for a great vacation and seeing all our Hilton Family again. It is a great feeling when the Hilton team recognizes us and gives us a warm greeting and welcome back. As a Lifetime Diamond member, this is a great resort

Best food at the resort

Excellent all around
Exuel and Edgar were amazing! Excellent food and even better service! They went above and beyond to make our dinner enjoyable.
