    Disappointing Stay Amid Staff Strike

    I stayed at the San Francisco Hilton and was quite disappointed. The hotel was severely understaffed, rooms weren’t cleaned properly, and noise from ongoing protests made it hard to relax. While the hotel claims they’re negotiating with staff, it’s hard to believe, given that workers have been on strike for over 20 days. Hilton should take responsibility and offer fair working conditions instead of cutting costs through its workforce. I can’t recommend staying here until they improve conditions for both staff and guests.

    Sketchy unsafe location and loud strikers

    Would not recommend the Hilton Union Square as most of their workers are on strike right in front of the building. It’s very loud and obnoxious “all day and all night.” On top of the loud noises it’s in a very sketchy location, there are drug users all over, homeless people, it’s not walkable especially at night, there is feces on the sidewalk as well.

    LOCAL 2 ON STRIKE AVOID STAYING HERE IF POSSIBLE

    Local 2 currently on strike. Hilton claims to be in negotiations, I do believe that to be false due to the fact that members are actively striking. If negotiations were in fact happening this would not be the case. Hilton makes enough money to give employees hours, Hilton is still operating on covid hours for their staff. You will not receive housekeeping while staying in this hotel, you will be harassed daily by strike members. You will be kept awake by the strike members noise at every entrance. I fully support there efforts and hope that Hilton and local 2 will reach a deal.

    Mistreatment of employees and guests

    Terrible hotel. Even though it’s a Hilton do not stay here. Staff and employees are rude and have hung up mom me, denied a first aid kit, and haven’t issued an apology to guest for noise level or situation from active strike. Guest should be issued an apology and additional compensation and/or discount because of the disruption that Hilton has caused from removing healthcare from their employees. DO NOT STAY HERE. it’s dirty outwardly and masks by its name. This hotel is not worth staying at.

    Awful.

    Been here for 7 days. Leave tommorow thankfully. Staff on strike outside so very intimidating walking in. Wake up call every morning with sirens and banging and shouting starting at 7 a.m. No housekeeping, no porter no kitchen staff or bar staff other than 46th floor. Told to phone 55 if needing anything. I.e clean towels, trash emptied bed change even toilet tissue. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE..Reception staff not the best they clearly can't be bothered, have managed 2 clean towels so far. Toilet tissue !!!!Eventually gave up and bought it from walgreens. The problem is that this has been going on and off since beginning of Sept. The hilton should have informed us and we certainly would have booked somewhere else to stay. E mail been sent. Awaiting response..What was so far a 3 week trip of a lifetime has been made into a major disappointment. THANK YOU HILTON.
