    Very good Hotel Quebecois

Good location, quite a schlep up the hill from Gare du Palais, but close for Old Town, Citadel, Plains of Abraham. We were booked in a 'Premium King Room with view", which, being on a higher floor, gives good views across the river and access to the Club Lounge where you can partake all day of soft drinks, tea and coffee and, between 1700 and 1900 hot food (pasta] option and breakfast in the morning, which included eggs, bacon and sausage as well as the continental buffet. Bedroom had everything you would expect (safe, fridge, WiFi, decent amount of cupboards and hanging space and a nice bathroom). Outdoor heated pool was nice, but could use a bit of TLC and was not really a proper lengths swimmers pool. Of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Canada, the staff at Hilton seemed the most genuinely friendly. Only minor issues were a longish wait to check-in and a restaurant menu that only offered overpriced pretentious fayre (so go elsewhere to eat). Overall, very good hotel.

    Family weekend

Hotel is 15 min walking distance from old town attraction on a rather steep hill. Rooms are spacious with 2 doubles, amenities are poor, nespreseo machine is a plus. We were recommended to take the lounge at 23rd floor 40 $ vs. Taking breakfast , it has great view but poor regarding breakfast and other amenities- not recommended. Location 3.5; cleanness 4, amenities-3 service-3.5 Value for money-3.5

The very Best of the Best. BTW…We adored our welcoming representative.

The best of the best!! Clean, spacious, orderly. The only thing that I did not really like was the Cabu Restaurant. It had a very limited menu and was not the best food. The location is spot on. It overlooks the old town and is a very short walk to the arched entrance to old town. Behind the hotel is a lovey street that hosts many local restaurants. And upper Rue St. Jean was also very easy to access as a local street that does continue through the old town. The food everywhere is spectacular. The old town has many boring pizza places mixed with some very good eateries. We found upper Rue St. Jean restaurants really commendable. Our room was beautiful. Clean. Central Air conditioning. The staff commendable for everything. PLEASANT AND NICE. Our room faced the Old Town and the river. It was a Junior Suite. Spotlessly cared for. Compared to the other options available like Chateau Frontenac (we visited and it was beautiful but it felt more like a trip to Disney World or a Taylor Swift concert) And other options I really think we chose the crown of the hotels in the city.

    Good stay

We arrived from the airport in a taxi utilising the fixed rate. All good. Location is right next to Parliament and a conference centre, a short walk to old town and restaurants and a good shopping street (St Jean). It’s about a 15 min walk from Gare du Palais for the Montreal train. Downhill going to the station but big uphill heading to the hotel. Nice foyer and pleasant check in agent who acknowledged my Gold status. We had booked an executive room and were given a great room on level 22 with no neighbours and with a good downtown view out to the mountains. The room was good, shower over bath with water saver measures which made it hard to get a great shower. Good housekeeping, great wifi, nice and quiet, excellent lifts. The executive lounge had highs and lows. We were expecting a continental breakfast but each day there were several hot options, during the day it was just chips, pretzels and nuts with water and soda and at evening there were some hot food options (creating a 5 o’clock feeding frenzy) and the same water and soda. A glass of pretty basic wine was $17 plus tip. Ouch! Restaurants around the corner had better wine for $5 to $6. We bought a whole bottle of an excellent St Emillion red at SAQ for less than $17. I understand service costs but the balance was skewed too far in the lounge. Just my humble opinion. The atmosphere was always quiet and civilised. We appreciated the welcome email with tourist information and restaurant tips (Chez Boulay was very enjoyable).

    Great location and views

Very large hotel near the old Town, yet you feel like in a small hotel, amazing breakfast and the best view of the old city that money can buy. Walking distance to all the attractions in Quebec and great selection of restaurants and entertainment
