Nice, but needs an update
We have been staying here since 2012. It is a nice property, but definitely due for a refresh and update. Some of the common areas appeared dirty, like the steps, the walkways, etc. and in need of a power wash. It’s exactly the same as it was 11 years ago when we started coming here. Some freshening up would really help the appearance of this resort.
Awesome place! No complaints!
Absolutely fantastic stay! No complaints! Everything was great. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The pools were in great shape, ALL HEATED. The water park was awesome, and the mini golf was a blast! 10/10 recommend, and I will be back!!
DON’T STAY AT THE SQUAW PEAK HILTON
arrived 10:30am agreed to $50 early ck in. assigned room has grease on carpet, declined room.. 2nd room had dirty boot prints on carpet, declined room. 3rd rm upgrade to a suite, a/c not working. 4th rm assigned was a handicap room across from the elevator which was very noisy.
Do not waste your money!
1st off I am injured from my trip and no one has contacted me to see how I am and check in on me. Practice in most large hotel brands is that when a guest has an accident at the property one of the managers calls the guest to follow up. I called the property on the day of arrival and was quickly sent to national reservations because the male front desk agent didn’t take a moment to listen. Then when I called back I was greeted with an attitude and lied to! The furniture in my room is damaged, there were bugs in the room, the sink was slow draining, the tub was leaking non stop, in a drought!!!! Literally could fill the tub with the leaking. The door lock battery died during our stay. They refused to bring us keys, we were in the north building two buildings away from the front desk. Security let us into the room and said that he would bring keys in 20 minutes. I didn’t see security again until the next day. Called the desk to ask them if we needed to have our DND on the door if we didn’t want housekeeping she said no, they do it upon request. I was furious to find that housekeeping in fact came into my room while I was out for the day. There is a note specifically stating that we had to ask for housekeeping, and they would not service the room, this is why I called to double check, lied to again! I hate having housekeeping in my room, it makes me very anxious. On Saturday I had breakfast with my friends on the second floor terrace. The terrace has a step when you come back into the building, there is no sign cautioning guest of the step. No anti-slip tape on the brick step, absolutely no notice of caution. Coming from a very bright space like the terrace into the darker mezzanine is blinding. This usually wouldn’t be a big deal if it wasn’t for the fact that the second floor terrace in the north building doesn’t have a step!!! No one offered a legitimate apology. On Sunday we got our bill And there was a $17 charge we did not charge. Many team members said my name and room number out loud so it wasn’t surprising. What was surprising and annoying was the front desk supervisor arguing about the fact that it was not my charge. She kept blaming the issue on the people being young. I told her multiple times it was not just the people at the water park but everyone! From the moment we checked in! Everyone shared my room number and name to anyone who was within earshot. This is the most disappointing stay at a Hilton. To pay the price we did and have all these issues is absurd! I emailed twice while I was there hoping to get someone to contact me. I didn’t call because I honestly was sick of the attitude everyone at the desk had and it gave me anxiety. I’ll be contacting guest relations with Hilton so they can make it right because obviously no one on property cares to. And spare me the upcoming renovation crap! Don’t charge me what you did for the experience that I had.
This hotel is worn and needs a lot of upgrades.
This hotel is worn and needs a lot of upgrades, both inside the hotel and outside of building. The water park is also run down and needs upgrades, but the employees were great and very helpful. My suggestion is going to another hotel or water park.
