Hilton in name only!
I just finished a large project in the area and stayed at the Hilton PB for 2 weeks - 12/01/25 - 12/05/25 and 12/08/25 - 12/12/25. For context, I had also stayed another week in the summer at the Hampton Inn that is right next to the Hilton PB. This place is a border line dump and it's very clear that whoever is managing this hotel does not have any sort of maintenance plan in place! Every hallway I saw has dirt / grease / grime running down the walls, the stairway door appears to have not been wiped down in years and the elevator doors (at least the ones on the tower) looked like they went through a bombing in Baghdad! Speaking of the elevators, on week 1 of my trips, one of the elevators had a major malfunction with its doors being unable to close. The elevator showed up, you get in and press the button for where you wanted to go and the doors would start to close but then open back up again. I reported this to the front desk the FIRST night I arrived on my way out to dinner. The problem is that since the "broken" elevator showed up, you couldn't call the other one there. I told the front desk that they needed to take it out of service until the problem was resolved. The front desk said they would get on this right away. When I returned the other elevator showed up so I had assumed they did this. Next morning the broken elevator showed up and I was essentially stuck because the doors wouldn't close - I ended up having to walk down 4 flights of stairs. Once again the front desk told me about the issue. Anyway, this went on all week! One evening I thought there was going to be a mutiny as there were folks with me that were staying on the high floors that were essentially stuck in the lobby or would have to hoof it up the stairs! One evening after walking to my room I went to call the front desk and my in room phone was also broken!!! Imagine having a medical emergency at this place! The phone is BROKEN and the elevators are broken! The front desk advised that they would credit my account $50 for my hardship but it never showed up and when I asked the front desk about it they acted like whoever said this to me was crazy. I ended up staying here again the next week because I had already booked the room and missed the cancellation period in Concur or else I would not have. Anyway, I get there and they upgraded me to room 1334, the room is ok/nice but hasn't seen an update except maybe paint since about 1997. Again, this floor also had the same filthy hallway walls and dirty doors. Went to my meetings and got a call that there is a water leak and they would need me to change rooms. They obviously had known about this for a while as there was a huge trash can in the hallway that was about half full from collecting the drips out of the ceiling. I told them I was in meetings and would deal with this later. I get back and talked to the front desk and after much back and forth between 2 front desk folks arguing if they should put me in 834 or 1234 they settled on 1234. I reminded the staff about my horrible experience the week before and the guy tells me that once I get resettled to come down to come to the front desk and that they would give me a couple of drink coupons for the bar. I do this about 30 minutes later and of course he is now gone and the new lady tells me that "they don't do this anymore"...WTF, you changed your policy in the last 30 minutes? So irritating. Anyway, the good: - Rooms were clean but very dated - Incredible views from the rooms in the tower - Restaurant food was actually pretty good - Wait staff at the bar/restaurant were solid. The bad: - see my novel above - Insane amount of deferred maintenance - The digital app was broken as well. Front Desk blamed this on a "Hilton wide outage" but this turned out to be BS because a colleague of mine was also staying at a Hilton in Dallas and he said it was working fine. I have also stayed in the Hampton Inn that is right next door on a previous trip and would recommend staying here or somewhere else. The Hampton is much newer and up to date. No, it doesn't have a bar/restaurant (they do have a bar by the pool in the summer) but it's literally right next door to Crabs and across the street from many restaurants / bars. I understand that things happen, especially in high traffic hotels but it appears that the owners are choosing not to maintain this place to the point that it could become dangerous to stay here! I will not stay in this dump again!

EXTREMELY OUTDATED
A total disappointment in every way. Used to be an excellent hotel, but MAJOR UPDATES ARE NEEDED TO ALL ROOMS (suites included) and all amenities, including restaurant change. Food was less than par. Hotel was OLD AND MUSKY, floors were STICKY, and UNCLEAN. Entire facility was OLD AND OUTDATED. Felt unwelcoming and has lost its beauty. Staff was not super helpful and did not allow luggage racks to be borrowed by guests to bring to their rooms. Only allowed staff to bring it, forging tips —and had to “wait” for one, to boot. Very inconvenient. Location is still good, but not the best on the beach as it used to be. Whoever is in charge of the Pensacola Hilton, you need to do an entire property (mainly the rooms) renovation ASAP! Very disappointing.

Beautiful location and facility, ruined by appalling service! This Hilton stay was a series of avoidable frustrations ..
The Hilton Pensacola Beach is in a prime location and our room had an excellent view of the beach and ocean. This is a beautiful facility, and our room was clean and well furnished. Unfortunately, the human element is where they fall short. Attempting to check in, we had to wait several minutes for the registration agent to finish texting. When we headed to our room, we discovered that only 1 elevator was working. Arriving in our room, the smoke detector low battery chirp was going off every minute. Called the front desk and was told someone would be right up. After a few minutes, I texted the front desk and got a snarky reply that they had received my call. After about an hour of the annoying noise, we took the smoke detector off the wall and removed the battery. No one ever came to fix this. During the night, we discovered a problem with the toilet – it would randomly refill very loudly. We reported this the next morning, a repairman was sent up, and he declared the problem fixed. It wasn’t and it continued to malfunction the following night. After our stay, we received a survey where we outlined these experiences and concerns. Received an email saying “sorry” and that if we wanted to be recognized as a Hilton Honors member (gold btw), we should have made our reservations direct instead of thru a 3rd party (American Express Travel). The Hilton Pensacola Beach offers an incredible view, but the staff and management clearly cannot deliver the basic service necessary to enjoy it. There are several alternatives in the same area - book elsewhere.

Poor Front desk and Concierge, Good View from Suite
Expect a no-responsive front desk. No service. Non-exist conceige. If you do like good location and do not mind old hotel and poorest services, then this one is good. As it worse than a Hampton (because Hampton has self-service luggage cart. This one do have "conceige", so no self-service cart. But conceige is lazy and hide in rooms so you most likely won't see them. Therefore you ends up carrying your luggage yourself.) Front desk staffs are not responsive. Not before the stay. Not during the stay. Not after the stay. Asked question, then it went to the bottom of the sea. The entire stay we could not get in touch with the front desk, except to physically presented in front of the desk and get the key (because they don't processdigital keys for us). Yet this only interaction is disapointed: She introduced nothing, she helps nothing, simply asked me name, see my ID, processed my key, done. Plus, she ends up forgot to give me the key. After the trip, I noticed the charging amout was way above expectation. We would never spent 310 for the stay. I asked the hotel twice wondering if they forgot to deduct the 30 dollar food and beverage credit for two guests from my bill. Again, no responce. The entire stay, before and after included, we only interact once which is just giving me the keys. No conceige services helping us with luggage, ZERO. I see others got helped, but when I asked the front desk during she processing the key, she told me to wait by the front door and yell "hello I need help with luggages". I did stand there and wait. No one helped. This is Okay, I can help myself, but they have NO self-service cart. We end up brong our all our bags and suitcases ourselves. Is it busy? No, it is not busy. It is just the front desk staffs and non-exist conceige staffs being lazy, not helpful, full of chaos.

Not the best Hilton
For a Hilton, and for the price we paid, this was less than spectacular. Elevators were sketchy, often times getting stuck. On more than one occasion a maintenance tech rode with us "just in case." 😯 And if you like hot showers you'll be disappointed. Lukewarm at best. 😥 There's is access to the beach and the view is wonderful. The staff was great, even with the elevator issue(s). The restaurant downstairs is on par with Hilton (pricey) buy the breakfast bar was terrific. Lots of choices to start your day. And there is a very sweet woman that will fix you an omelet or eggs in a specific way. There are options for lunch and dinner within walking distance if youd like. No issues with parking but it was off-season. Enjoy.
