Dec 26, 2025Simply a Great Hotel
This was our third stay at this hotel and it is truly one of our favorite hotels in Europe. Although there was a line at check in, they offered everyone waiting a glass of prosecco or water. I had read about the construction in advance, so I asked the front desk agent if he could find us a room that did not have the windows covered, as we were staying for five nights. I was surprised and very grateful that he was able to honor this request, so we did not have to experience the covered windows that other reviews have mentioned. We had chosen an executive king room for this stay and the layout was different than our previous rooms. It was divided in half with the bed and TV on one side and then a large desk and closet on the other side. It might be better suited for someone on a business trip who needs a work area, As we did not, half of the room space seemed wasted. But the other half was still a decent size and the king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large by Europe standards, with both a tub and separate shower, so we couldn’t have been more pleased. The executive rooms also include a stocked mini bar, with soft drinks and snacks, in addition to an evening turn down service. The executive lounge was a nice perk, which was open anytime we stopped in to collect some soft drinks or water to take with us. The breakfast offering was fine, although it was the same food every day. The evening snacks were different each day and all of the staff were very helpful. In fact, all of the hotel staff greeted you every time and were more than willing to answer any questions and seemed genuinely interested in how our stay was going, so the service provided at this hotel is one of the more memorable aspects. The location is great, as you can easily walk to a tube station, as well as two train stations, which provides multiple options for getting around the city. There were a number of good restaurants in the area, which is very walkable and seemed safe at night. This is a great hotel and the only place I would consider when staying in London.

Very good experience.
I had a very good experience. The people working there were very nice (the lady from the reception that checked us in, one guy at the entrance that told us where we can go for a coffee and Shashank from the bar). The room was always very clean. The location is also perfect. You have some nice cafes near the hotel and from the Southwark station you can go almost anywhere. Only thing that i didn’t like is that the room had no windows to open.

We had a wonderful lunch here for Christmas! The atmosphere, food and service were all excellent. Shashank ensured we had everything we needed.

Excellent hotel
All of the staff were extremely helpful especially Daniel doorman who couldn’t do enough for us ! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay , we will be back again for sure .

Great
Lovely hotel. Very modern, great location! They made such an effort with the Christmas decorations! Staff were all so friendly, especially Shashank at the bar.
