Mar 29, 2026Great location but little else to recommend
We have stayed here several times and while I knew of the Hilton's drawbacks and dated decor I was surprised by how far it has declined. Upon arrival our room was not ready until after 4 pm and we never got the promised text or call. Food in Torreyana ranged from OK to inedible (service was fine though). The parking area was hilariously filthy (see photo) and housekeeping is also comically bad. There were hairs all over the floor when I finally got into the room and one day housekeeping neglected to supply any towels at all. The lines at the front desk are casino-esque and the staff is not the warmest there or elsewhere in the hotel. All of that said, the location remains convenient to the beach and golf course and prices seem to reflect the decline of this place. Public areas and rooms are in need of refreshing and ownership doesn't seem in any hurry to upgrade the hotel.

Great service. Wonderful breakfast.
We had Joanne as our server two days in a row (we requested her section the second day!) She was very attentive and was always a step ahead. But the BEST part of having Joanne was her FUN personality!!! What a great way to start the day!! Breakfast was also very good but if you are with someone who likes to share I encourage that option because the portion sizes are HUGE.

Great service!
We had Joanne as our server in the restaurant for breakfast two days in a row. She was amazing! Friendly, funny and very attentive! We made sure to ask for her station after we had her the first day. Wonderful way to start your day with a ray of sunshine. Thank you Joanne!
