Wonderful stay in huge resort complex
We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Towers by Hilton Grand Vacations, specifically because we were fortunate enough to be placed in one of the newly renovated 1 bedroom suite (with a full kitchen). While these rooms are positioned away from the ocean, the interior was absolutely spectacular. They were extremely modern, impeccably clean, and stocked with appliances and cooking tools we could have needed. The resort grounds are equally impressive, offering a vast array of pools and lagoons to explore. In the lagoon we loved snorkling with turtles, beautiful fish and we even saw a few rays! Our daughter particularly enjoyed the Hawaiian Culture Center, where the activities were fun and she formed a sweet bond with her new "auntie". Also make sure you take the time to watch the sunset from the front of Ocean Towers, as the view is truly spectacular and shouldn't be missed. LOGISTICS Prospective guests should be aware that this resort is massive. You should expect to walk 10 to 15 minutes to reach almost any destination on the property. While there is a tram provided, we found it to be quite slow, infrequent, and unfortunately prone to breaking down, so it is best to plan on walking rather than relying on the shuttle. Other piece to consider is the high cost of parking. It is quite expensive, and it's important to know that there isn't free parking at other nearby HGV resorts either (I know I have stayed at other HGV resorts instead to save on parking costs, but, that doesnt apply anymore). If you are planning to rent a car, definitely factor these steep parking fees into your vacation budget. SUMMARY Overall, despite the walking and parking costs, the quality of the accommodations and the excellent children’s programming made for a very modern and comfortable stay. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Great Experience - Service was great and amenities can not be beat!
I loved our time here. The service was excellent. Thank you, Peggy at the front desk and Nita at the welcome area. The check-in was quick, and the service was good. Each of the rooms has a fridge, and the 2-bedroom has a large kitchen and fridge. The rooms are clean and spacious. It was obvious that the two-bedroom had been recently renovated. The two-bedroom suite was large and had not been updated. Both were great options. For those complaining that the hotel is old, I don't see any issues. The grounds are very lush, and they have lots of amenities. Be prepared to walk or use the tram/monorail. The monorail arrives about every 20 minutes. Be aware that the property is large with lots of pools. If you don't want to walk a lot be patient and take the tram or request a room in a tower other than the Ocean Tower (both HVC and Hotel options). I recommend bell service for your luggage if you are staying in the Ocean Tower.

Figure the resort transportation out.
Transportation around the resort is horrendous and an absolute joke . No golf carts to transport guests for some strange reason. One worthless tram that moves about 2mph and runs every 20-30 mins. Can walk faster than tram. Then again it’s a mile one way to your room from the lobby. God forbid you’re carrying several items to the pool or forget something in your room.

Not good
We stayed at the ocean tower which is like a 10-15 minute walk from main entrance. They have a train that was breaking down and not in use most of the time we stayed there. No wifi most times and we had to connect and reconnect wifi each time. Unfortunately, I cannot return to this hotel. Some (not all) of the staff were really good which is the only reason I gave it a 2 rating and not a 1.

Don’t stay here
Absolutely terrible experience at the Ocean Tower. Check-in took over two hours, and the staff was shockingly rude and unhelpful the entire time. Customer service throughout the week never improved — it felt like guests were an inconvenience rather than welcomed. The rooms are extremely outdated unless you’re an owner. Ours felt neglected and poorly maintained: the carpet smelled rotten, the amenities were minimal, and there was black mold in the shower, which is completely unacceptable for a property at this price point. The pools near this tower were underwhelming, and we were even charged for towels — something most resorts include. Overall, the Ocean Tower feels like the forgotten part of the property. If you’re considering staying here, don’t. Pay whatever difference is necessary and stay in the Paradise Tower instead — it’s dramatically better in every way and worth it regardless of price. Would not return and would not recommend.
