Not worth the price. Property is too big to provide quality services perhaps.
So disappointed. First. Check-in was a debacle. Given wrong keys and had to trek back to get correct ones. Then on our first day there were no pool towels - for the entire resort we were told by staff. How is that possible? Then today we had housekeeping for our room and while some things were cleaned they didn’t replenish coffee or wipe down mirrors. Basic services aren’t offered. For example there is no cocktail/snack service at the pool - even though most resorts do offer that at this price point. And they want me to buy a time share here.? Hard pass. They said it’s due to lack of labor on the island. Yet other resorts function just fine. If the prices were lower here I could look past these problems. But since they are quite high, I would recommend another resort. Maybe rest of the stay will get better but not confident.

Beautiful but Too Hard to Get Around
Ocean Tower at Hilton Waikoloa is a timeshare property. It’s an expensive resort so we were expecting the level of service and accessibility that the price point suggests. The resort itself is undeniably beautiful, with an impressive layout and a wide variety of options for swimming and water sports. However, the property is extremely expansive, which makes the boats and trams essential for getting to/from the room, transportation and amenities. This is especially important for guests traveling with young children and seniors. Unfortunately, the boats were completely out of service for our entire stay and the trams ran inconsistently, creating long walks that were not reasonable for our group. Navigating the resort on foot was further complicated by how difficult it was to locate elevators between levels, making basic movement unnecessarily challenging. At this price, reliable transportation and clear accessibility should be a given. Further, parking is $48-$55 per day on top of the room. If you have another option, I would strongly recommend considering it given the problematic transportation and accessibility.

Not as good as last visit
The weather, food and view was excellent. The room however needs a good cleaning (toilet area). Pool was ok, the "recreation " girl in the cart 12/27 was SO RUDE ...Yelling across pool for me not to move an upright chair that was 15 ft away. (I have back issues). Towel shortage walked to every dispenser! Tram was not working (broke) or available 75% of the time. Not good for those who can't do the .5 mile walk one way. Only 1 staff (housekeeper) our whole stay was bubbly and pleasant and greeted us every time.

Consistently worse over the years
I have been coming to Thai property for nearly 25. It changed over ship multiple times but ever Hilton acquired it it has gone downhill consistently. Every year more wear and tear, more promises of remodels. Extremely outdated rooms, our bathroom flooded, their solution a fan but left all the wet towels we used to divert the water on the floor. The bed was recluse uncomfortable. The are no running the boats anymore (my assumption cost cutting action, they stayed due to the seaweed but it wasn’t more than the previous year nor are they doing anything about it. It’s sad to see such a nice property go downhill. The lagoon is still really fun but there too multiple slides were turned off. At least the large pool remodel was finally done. After so many years I think this will be the last time come, too much disappointment. The food quality was very poor, worst pizza I’ve had in a long time. Hilton overall is declining rapidly, it keeping up with maintenance and devaluing their program and the associates Diamond status.

Not impressed
Unfortunately there were no boats running, spoke to staff, they said they haven’t been running for three months. The tram that takes you from one side of the resort to the other was also down intermittently, they used to have two trams running, this trip at times they didn’t even have one running. Hilton you better step up your game, we spend a lot to stay at your resort- we have expectations, that we not met.
