- Golf †There are two championship golf courses at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. Both designed by leading names in today's golf world. Whether a beginner or a pro, players find the challenge exhilarating and the scenery breathtaking. Waikoloa´s classic Kings´ Course, designed by former British Open champion Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, is a Big Island golf course offering the best of two worlds: a great links-style layout that reflects the rugged seacoast of Scotland – yet set on an island paradise where brilliant color flashes across the thousand shades of green, and Mauna Kea towers in the distance. The 7,000+ yard Kings´ Course meanders over and around an ancient lava flow, and its wide, undulating fairways are framed by palm trees and vibrant flowers of Hawaii. Multiple tee placements, and challenging pot bunkers add complexity to the Big Island Hawaii golf course complete with a double green on holes #3 and #6. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Beach Course at this expansive Waikoloa golf resort winds its way along historic lava flows near Anaehoomalu Bay – impressing even avid golfers with hypnotic ocean views, swaying coconut palms and tropical trade winds. Immaculate greens are well-guarded by numerous white sand bunkers and strategically placed, shimmering water features, but the ultimate Waikoloa beach golf experience may be the Beach Course’s 502-yard par 5 twelfth–known throughout the islands as the most spectacular oceanfront par-five in Hawaii. Not only is it a challenging golf hole, its rocky point over the breakers is an awesome place to spot humpback whales and misty, distant views of other Hawaiian Islands.

Waikoloa Village is an Overlooked Gem in the Hawaiian Islands
Covering 62 acres, this resort has everything! Sea water lagoon along the ocean front for snorkeling, paddle boarding and swimming with the sea turtles and fish. Your kids will lose their minds. White sand beach, educational dolphin experience, golf, shopping, great dining. Take in the night snorkel with Manta Rays. It's an experience of a lifetime. My sons, their spouses and children and grandma (that's me) loved every minute.

Not on the beach but still a great location
The only reasons I gave the resort a 4 are twofold...1) the door on the water closet is about 6 inches off the floor and you can hear everything your partner is doing in the bathroom. And 2) The kitchen is not very well equipped...one 10 inch pan and one 6 inch pot, meager cooking utensils and the knives are so dull, they are downright dangerous. If you don't plan to cook, no big deal but Hawaii is expensive and it's nice to cook up a meal or two. Other than those small things the resort is lovely, the staff is very accomodating and we have no complaints.

Kings’ Land Waikoloa
Excellent resort amenities with additional access to the Hilton Hotel beach area nearby. There is a shuttle available to take you around the area for shopping, restaurants and hotels. Units are comfortable and spacious, the kitchen design is really useable but it is a bit tight to work in there with 2 cooks, overall I’d say it’s very good for a timeshare. The front desk was quick to address the housekeeping requests we had…5/5 for that. Check in was frustrating to say the least, we asked to be in the same building as family members and had called ahead to make the request. When we first arrived to pre check in and store bags we were told there was nothing could be done about not being in the same building. We left and returned at 4 pm… no units available yet… it was after 5 pm before we got into our units. We finally found a front desk staff member willing to put in the effort to find us 2 units in the same building. We would like to acknowledge Jake who provided excellent customer service compared to other staff members at the front desk on February 14. Because of our check in experience and the fact that housekeeping was not up to par on check in day I’m giving this resort 4/5 instead of 5/5. We had sticky kitchen floors once we did get into our units. We were not the only RCI exchange guests with check in difficulties on February 14, there were several other couples checking in who were also delayed until after 5 pm.

Paradise!
A fantastic resort, beautifully landscaped and very friendly staff. Reception area: It's easy to check-in and easy to check-out. Staff is friendly and helpful. The recption area is outside, surrounded by a garden with so many colorful flowers and singing birds. The room: Very spacious rooms with a separate living room and bedroom. A fully equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, and large refrigerator with ice maker. A spacious bedroom with two queen-size beds. A spacious bathroom with a large sink and a toilet with a heated toilet seat. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping was provided daily. Our room was on the groundfloor and we had a seating area outside. The hotel has a nice bar and beautifully landscaped gardens and swimming pools. There is a swimming area for toddlers / kids and even an adult only pool. Towels are provided. The sun/pool loungers are free of charge There is storage space for suitcases, and on the day of your departure, you can still use the hotel facilities after check-out If you have a lte flight back, you can use a hospitality room free of charge (one hour), so you can still shower and freshen up before leaving to the airport. The hospitality room is equipped with shampoo, conditioner, showergel, bodylotion and a hairdryer There is even a television Various activities are organized, including singing and hula dancing in the bar, yoga, aqua aerobics, and zumba. Location: The hotel is located close to Kona International Airport, a 30 minute drive. The complex has several hotels and is beautifully landscaped. There are also two shopping centers, Queens and Kings, and a golf course.
