We would have loved to come back if it wasn’t for the poor management of this hotel. We had to book our stay in multiple reservations due to using a mix of cash, points, and a free night certificate. We also paid for an upgrade to the enclave room for $100 a night. Unfortunately, the multiple reservations and the upgrade really screwed things up. I won’t go into all the details here because it’s probably unique and a long story but suffice to say we thought everything was resolved in the days leading up to our stay. When we arrived it was like starting all over again. Reservations missing, prepaid upgrades they tried to charge us for again, etc. You would think after all the headache leading up to our stay a manager would have made sure extra attention was paid to our reservation or at least noted well enough for the front desk but nope. This continued through the stay, things like calling us to come pay for the first two nights halfway through our stay and shutting off our keys and wifi access until we did. Someone could have jut let us know at check in we would need to do that! Then of course checking out was just rehashing everything again. Paid upgrades they tried to insist on charging us for despite me showing and emailing them the receipt. It was actually a good thing we couldn’t get a late checkout as diamond members since it took so long to checkout! All that being said, there are some great people here providing good service. Roni, the manager at the buffet took great care of us. I have a gluten allergy and she walked me through everything that was safe. The Buffett ended up being better than the sit down restaurants for me in that regard! It was actually kind of sad how often we found ourselves at the buffet after a meal at one of the reservation restaurants… Oscar at the Chaka Sky bar was also fantastic. If you’re up there he will take good care of you. Speaking of Chala, we paid the $100 a night for that Enclave upgrade and personally I found it worth it. Great views in the room and Chala was our favorite place to spend the day in the sun and have lunch. The spa was also fantastic! We got a couple massage package and loved it. The hydrotherapy was fun and the nicest one I’ve seen. And the massages were excellent. Overall, we would have come back again if it wasn’t for the management issues. The spa alone would have made that worth it for me but instead we will check out another property. Thankfully, Hilton corporate made it up to us (of course just crickets from the hotel themselves) by giving us back our free night certificate so we will use that at the other Hilton Cancun most likely.

The resort was very good. We enjoyed Enclave lounge so much, especially Ramses, Tito and Diego! They are great and made fantastic drinks! They made it a fun and memorable stay.

Dec 22, 2025Beautiful Renovated Resort with Great Beach
Date of Stay: December 18–22 Overall Rating: 4.5/5 Stars We recently returned from a 4-night stay at the Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe. Overall, our family had a wonderful time, and the kids were sad to leave—especially because of the excellent water play area! The Highlights The Beach & Pools: The beach is wonderful—very clean, sandy, and perfect for swimming. The pools are well-maintained, and the animation team does a great job keeping things lively. Property Condition: Since the hotel was renovated only two years ago, it still feels brand new. Our room was very clean, and the general aesthetics are modern and fresh. Staff & Service: Most of the staff are welcoming, well-trained, and attentive to details. They were generally available to address any needs or issues that arose during our stay. Room & Enclave Experience We stayed in an Enclave balcony room. For two adults and two kids, the space was "just enough." While it worked for us, it did feel a bit tight, and we found ourselves wishing for a little more square footage to move around comfortably. Dining & Reservations (Areas for Improvement) This was the most challenging part of our stay. Reservation System: You can only book restaurants for the current day or the following day. This requires visiting the concierge at 9:00 AM. One morning, I had to wait in a queue for 45 minutes just to secure a table, as there is no digital alternative. International Buffet: The food quality is great and the ingredients are fresh. However, the international restaurant is a bit limited in variety. We also noticed that many dishes were missing ingredient tags, which would be helpful for guests to know what they are eating. Be prepared for a short wait to be seated during breakfast and lunch. Enclave Chala Bar: While the bar itself is good, the service was inconsistent. On a couple of occasions, staff disregarded our requests for drinks by the pool, which was disappointing for an upgraded experience. A Few Minor Notes Lobby Odor: There was a noticeable, unpleasant smell in the lobby area (possibly mold), though luckily, it was confined only to that specific area and didn't affect the rest of the resort. Summary: Despite the hurdles with the reservation system, we had a very happy stay. The kids loved the facilities, the beach is top-tier, and the fresh food quality is high. We would recommend it, but hope they streamline the dining bookings in the future!

Recommend
We had hydrotherapy and couple massage. The service was good. Izbeth and Amores gave us a great deep massage and a very comfortable atmosphere for us to relax. Will recommend booking at front desk when you arrive.
