The hotel is not in an area with a lot of activity or restaurants. Be prepared to Uber to Miami beach destinations. If you want the beach, it's a prime location. The hotel was busy when we were there. It took a long time for our room to be ready. Aesthetically, the hotel is dated and not maintained well. The spills stayed on floors, wrappers weren't picked up. Our toilet flushed so slowly, it was a waiting game. Our shower was so dirty and stained, we wore shower shoes. OH, we paid extra for a balcony room, which is one long balcony, partioned by a 3 foot of glass wall; this made it awkward for you and your neighbors. Balconies were never cleaned. We had other people's coffee stains everywhere. Our neighbors were loud and drunk, leaving a mess on their balcony every night, which was not so fun to wake up to. That's no reflection on the hotel. I found the beach service deplorable, even tipping on top of the built-in gratuity, no one came back, each service person said we were in someone else's area...the restaurant was slow and expensive. The food was average. The built-in gratuity really takes away from motivation. The valet staff hustled. They worked hard and did not have gratuity built in. BE WARNED: Resortpass manages the poolside cabanas. They do not communicate or respond to communications. The only way to communicate is via email. No one in the hotel can help with access questions. I would look elsewhere before staying here again. Our room was pricey and overall, not worth it.
