I'D RATHER BE IN ARUBA, AT THE HILTON!
This being our 15th vacation at the Hilton Aruba, I am somewhat biased :), but just the fact that we've been there 15 times since 2016, after traveling the Caribbean and Mexico extensively, tells you all you need to know. The beach is excellent, plenty of room to relax, and the team at the beach makes every day special; get a Palapa with waiter service all day; and try the beach activities from SUP to water aerobics, and my favorite, the bike ride to the lighthouse! The hotel has been completely refreshed and the rooms and restaurants/bars are even better than before. The staff is warm and welcoming, always doing their best to make you feel at home. I can't wait to return .

Do no accommodate
Workers are nice for the most part but found they are not willing to Accommodate you. I originally had chosen a room with double beds but was offered an upgrade. The upgrade did not mention King or double beds. I upgraded for the partial Ocean view which honestly isn’t even that great. I chatted prior to getting here and was told sorry they have nothing. Check when you arrive. It was also a King bed. The following day they move my son from his double bed room in the Aruba tower due to the noise of construction so I ask if they can give me his room for the double beds and of course they say it had already been booked. How, my son just moved. So I also ask for a step stool as I have an issue with getting into the King bed as I am only 4’10 and asked for a step stools and no step stools. The other part is the person I came with has to sleep on a cart. My opinion is do not expect any of them to go out of their way to make you more comfortable and stop offering upgrades to people without alerting them it would be changing from two beds to One as that is important. I won’t come back. To much of a hassle to get help.

Ongoing construction...
Significant construction still ongoing. South pool was completely closed with some jack hammering last 4 days of our visit. New bar/food building being constructed right next to the open north pool, with associated construction noise. Staff is great and the room was very nice. Breakfast buffet was underwhelming but satisfactory ($30.50 pp). I added a star because I feel the price of the stay was reflective of the ongoing construction. I just didn't expect so much of it.

Great Trip Overall
The Hilton staff was super welcoming and friendly upon our arrival. Make sure to have some cash to tip the bellman as they do help bring your luggage up to your room. The rooms are starting to show some of their age - scuffed furniture, chipped paint, etc. but the rooms are still very clean and spacious. The resort is perfectly located in Aruba with restaurants and shops nearby and the airport only about a 15-20 min drive. The beach was beautiful with plenty of beach chairs/umbrellas to reserve. The pools were great although rather underwhelming. There isn't a snack/bar nearby so you have to go about your way to get drinks pool side. There were some waiters but they were quite slow. The pools definitely lacked some good vibes. The spa was amazing. They outdid themselves with the new building and the staff was so welcoming. I got a 50 min full body massage and felt rejuvenated. Definitely arrive early to take advantage of their snacks/drinks in the lounge area and their sauna/cold plunge. The small shops inside the resorts were lifesavers! Coffee and croissants in the morning were delicious. The breakfast buffet was a bit on the expensive side ($35/person) but it does offer a large array of breakfast items. The casino was so sad. Completely empty and quite small. We did visit in October which I hear is their slow season so perhaps that's why the casino was lacking. Construction was still ongoing but it wasn't that loud, it never disturbed our sleep.
