Issues at Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Denver
While the location of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Denver was ideal (just a few blocks from the State Capitol and within walking distance of shops and restaurants), there were definitely some issues that need to be addressed. For starters, the ice machine on the third floor where my son and I were staying was out of order and so it was necessary to go down to the first floor every time we wanted ice. But the biggest issue was the lack of responsiveness. On our third day at the hotel, the toilet was clogged and backed up. We reported it at 5:30 p.m., but upon returning at 9:30 p.m., the problem hadn't been resolved. My son went down to the front desk and waited for 20 minutes while the only individual on duty hunted for a plunger so we could fix the problem ourselves. That should simply never happen. The one day of housekeeping provided was below par. Housekeeping did not leave any extra bath tissue and didn't bother to clean the soap dish, leaving a much used bar of soap rather than providing a new bar of soap. They also left an obviously used cup in the bathroom and failed to clean the bathroom floor. Finally, only one of the two elevators was not working and there were frequently long waits for the elevator. If the Hampton Inn wants to attract more guests, it needs to be more responsive to the needs and comfort of the individuals who stay there.

Needs updating
The rooms seemed moldy . Myself and coworkers all were sick upon leaving . The elevator was broken the 2 days , I have a fully fused neck and was required to walk down 6 stories . They did send a man to help with bags. The staff was wonderful , it was the hotel itself.

Solid Base from which to Explore Denver
This was a solid base from which to explore Denver. We were in town for a 4-game series between the Rockies and the Phillies. It was about a 25-minute walk to Coors field from the hotel, safe to do even after nighttime games. I would HIGHLY recommend parking directly across the street (right out the front door). It was $15/day and very easy to set up and extend for each successive 24-hour period of parking there. The room was as expected, the service was excellent, and it met our expectations.

RUN from this place
Hands down the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at. Only one elevator because the other one was out of service and it is unbearably SLOW. There is no hot tub, and the door to the pool works sporadically. Actually everything here works sporadically. The bedside phone? Nope, doesn't work. One of the lamps? Also nope. TV remote? Channel change doesn't work. Front desk is indifferent at best. Hate hate hate this hotel, do yourself a favor and book literally ANYWHERE else.
