This hotel was clean and efficient for an overnight stay for the airport. Breakfast was typical buffet style hotel breakfast. They do offer dinner there which was good. The shuttle was convenient running every 15 minutes. To find the shuttle exit right after you exit the airport go all the way through door 4 exit and wait in that area. The shuttle was big and blue with Hampton written on the side so it was easy to see.

We arrived late afternoon, so a local hotel was a must for us as driving to La Furtuna at that time was out of the question. This is a very clean, simple hotel, no frills but welcoming and well-staffed. Breakfast was perfectly fine, all that was needed after a long flight and a good sleep. The hotel is only a 5-minute shuttle bus (free) to the hotel, no need to book, it turns up every 15-25 minutes or so. There is a diner 1 minute walk away (Denny’s) which is perfect for a quick burger etc. We would recommend this as a place when you land or perhaps staying before you go home.

Mar 14, 2026Two hour wait for check in when I HAD a reservation that Hampton could not find despite communicating with me previously
I had booked the Hampton via Booking.com and even had direct correspondence with a representative from the hotel as we would be arriving after midnight. We arrived a little after 1:00am. There were several people in line and one front desk person. She took 10-15 minutes per person/couple to check them in. After about 45 minutes, it was my turn. The representative stated she could not find my reservation and asked me to wait until she checked in everyone else in line even though she told me there were available rooms. I waited another 45 minutes. She called her supervisor and finally gave me a room. Then she charged me $10 for the mineral water I requested from the cooler. This was AWFUL service.

Decent overnight stop with awful breakfast
We stayed here on the last night of our whistle stop week in Costa Rica, and just as well, as the Tarcoles bridge causes major delays - if we had been crossing that on the day of our flight, it would have been a huge panic. As it was we arrived early evening and headed out via Uber for a meal, and then stayed in the room until the last minute the next day, then sat by the pool and went to the nearby casino for an hour, before our late flight home. Much more relaxing. The room was big and had a great bed and a desk, internet, safe etc, and very quiet. We did ask if we could pay to stay later as our flight wasnt until 6 but as they were full the next night, it wasn't really possible. So, all good, except for breakfast, which was absolutely dire. Waffles, bread, scrambled eggs and some sort of fried thing which may or may not have had cheese in it. No cold meats or salad, no hot breakfast. Just unhealthy tasteless carb-laden fodder.

Good airport hotel
Expensive but clean, comfortable and convenient to airport. Airport shuttle service is excellent. Great breakfast.
