Best front desk person
The room itself was very nice. I stayed with a friend. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. The location is superb with short walking distance to many things including the gorgeous Iglesia del Carmen, the Metro stop of the same name, and short cab/Uber ride $4 to Metropolitan Park, Casco Viejo and other areas. Don’t miss nearby El Trapiche for authentic Panamanian food and Animal Brew with local craft beer, and Siete Mare, and many other choices including Caribbean, Vietnamese, etc. What really made the stay magnificent was Virgilio who helped us with restaurant ideas and other things. One thing he recommended was Azahar terrace seating on the 7th floor overlooking the water. It was in my top 10 dining experiences ever. I used points and got 5 nights for the price of 4, but even the stated took rates were very reasonable. The hotel also has a lovely pool on the roof with very nice views and comfortable seating and a nice gym. This is truly a great value. Make sure to ask whether Virgilio works there if he is not the one checking you in.

NEEDS A FINANCIAL INFUSION TO BRING UP TO HILTON STANDARDS
Arrived there on Nov 12, 2022. I was greeted by two people named Eliecer (Eli) the driver and Jose the interpreter from the travel agency (Deja Vu) located at the main lobby of the hotel. They were my personal guides throughout my stay in Panama. These two gentlemen were the most professional individuals I ever worked with. They were funny, knowledgeable, understanding and patient with me and my spouse. After arriving at the hotel we got settled in and the following day our vacation began. PRO's of this Hampton hotel are of the following: Location is near stores, shops and restaurants and subway/busses. Nice large lobby with nice flooring. Plenty to choose from the breakfast bar served daily. Nothing ever ran out. The ladies kept it stocked with juices and food. Front desk personnel were pleasant although some were limited in their English. Hotel elevators worked well for the most part. Room was okay. Plenty of towels in bathroom. Television and radio worked okay for the most part. Safe in room worked well except for one day. AC worked too well. Maid service came in every day to make bed and new towels. Pool on the top floor with a mini gym. Deja Vu travel was on time each morning and is located inside the hotel. Complimentary bottled water. Nice lobby with chairs and couches. CON'S of this Hampton hotel are of the following: Location is in a somewhat seedy area. Prostitutes hang around outside hotel at night across the street. Not great outside street lighting. Lobby furniture is outdated and should be replaced. Some of the front desk gave us free bottled water and other's charged it to my room. Not a lot of variety to choose from in terms of food at the front desk. Limited seating in the breakfast area. Front desk personnel were inconsistent. Some would help others not so much. One elevator was out of service for awhile leaving only one working. Room furniture and carpet should be replaced to include hallway. No microwaves in room and fridge was extremely small. Hallway smelled musty since vent fans were not working. Need to replace carpets and repaint the rooms and hallways. Radio worked as long as the hotel card was inserted in wall. Take out the card and you have to reset the radio as all electric is off in the room. Safe malfunctioned one night when I could not open it. Two maintenance men had to come and reset it. Difficult to turn off AC. When it reached the temp I want it to reach it kept on cooling. The remote sleeve on the wall had to be replaced. Called three times in two days to finally have them replace it. Maid kept taking the room card out of the slot on the wall by room entrance. Finally I told front desk to write me a Spanish note telling her to leave it in the slot. Pool had no lights inside the pool. Very dark if you swim at night. Top floor so no window for ceiling. Lightning and rain could pour down on the pool. Deja Vu Travel is very very expensive. I feel I overpaid for these trips. Probably would have been better to use a tour bus instead of private one. Enrique who runs this travel agency was not available during my stay there. I probably paid over $1500 in tour fees.. The good news is my room for the week was free. I used my Hilton points to book the room! Furniture in lobby and dining area should be replaced soon. The bottom line is with about $50,000 U.S. dollars or more this three star hotel can possibly become closer to a four star hotel. Hilton Corporate should assist them. It is one of their hotels.

Centric, clean and good service
Our family enjoyed staying at this hotel in Panama City. Safe area, accessible taxis, restaurants, pharmacies, and different stores, good service. I recommend it. The hotel has taxis that offer tours, but I would recommend shopping around to find other options. Trip advisor is a good option for that.
