Nice room, not the best stay
Most of the staff were nice, one of the front desk ladies was inappropriately rude because I had a Service Dog. Then they (she) gave me one of the rooms FURTHEST away from the elevators... ironic due to again me having a SERVICE DOG - they don't know my disabilities, but that just doesn't seem to make sense. The people above me for the first three days were extremely loud - I could hear EVERYTHING, all night long. The fire alarm went off at around 2am one day but was turned off within a few minutes - so no fire. I only attempted to attend breakfast twice and they were out of the only thing I wanted - OJ. They make you hang a sign saying you have an animal in the room so your room is NOT serviced. The room itself was very nice. It felt like a really nice studio apartment.

Nice rooms, great staff. Poorly maintained and very poor breakfast
Great staff, very friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful. Thank you :) However, I’m surprised this hotel retains the Hilton Brand. Yes, it clearly is Hilton, but so many things are just below the standard that seems reasonable for a Hilton. And I've stayed at a lot in the last 20 years ! During my stay I had to change rooms the first night because the Air Conditioning was noisy, the sound of a toy rollercoaster 🎢 (!). The new room had AC with a faulty IR receiver, that clearly had been repaired many times in the past. At least once daily I had to call maintenance. The Male toilets in the pool area where closed all the time I was at the Hotel so you had to return to the room. At one end the pool, the step was missing so you couldn’t exit at that end of the pool. I’m sure other niggles existed around the hotel too. Whilst each of these items isn’t significant, overall it gave the feeling that the building just isn’t being maintained to an acceptable level. If these corners are visible, what’s happening in the background ! Sadly the Breakfast was appalling. No fruit, except bananas every day. No vegetables/sides, nothing. Each day would be one hot dish of bland scrambled eggs and a second hot dish such as sliced hot dogs in tomato sauce. There was white bread you could toast, no brown or rolls, nothing. There was cornflakes and Cheerios, no granola, no oats , nothing but. I mean I have never known a hotel where you can’t select from a few items and make something edible and healthy. The strangest thing is, despite these things I didn’t have a bad stay here. It was ok ! The room was large and clean, the bed comfy and the bathroom was fine. If you’re ok with these failings than actually it’s not a bad place to stay. The location is fine, not the best spot in Panama but minutes from everything and many mid priced restaurants locally. In essence It felt like it needed to be returned to normal Hilton standards to make a reasonable hotel. If Hilton has inspectors, I’m sure they would fail this one !

Not a great experience
We chose this hotel because Priceline said it had a free airport shuttle. It did not. It cost us $35 in CASH which was all the cash we had to get to the hotel. The front desk people didn't not speak English. It was very hard to communicate with them. We went to the room and the air conditioner remote had dead batteries. The shower had mold. There was supposed to be a hand held shower but there was not one connected to the spigot. I ask every night (3) for one to be installed and was told it would be. It never was. The desk in between the beds was not attached and kept falling over. The lights on the desk didn't work - even though we asked that they be fixed. The room was very basic which is ok but it could use some art work on the bare walls. The beds were very comfortable which is important. The hallways smelled and the carpet needed cleaning. The hot breakfast left a lot to be desired. Tasteless scrambled eggs, cut up hot dogs, a something unknown. Also cereal and oatmeal were offered. Only white bread. The tables were not bussed quickly. I had to clear one for us. In general, the hotel needs attention to detail and some TLC. I would not stay there again.

Our toilet flooded our room
This hotel was one of the worst my family and I have visited. The first morning we stayed the toilet overflowed and flooded our entire room because the plumbing at this hotel is a joke. We were forced to move to another floor and the plumbing there was the same. When we complained we were told that we were at fault because we were expected to know that you shouldn’t flush toilet paper in Panama City?! We had visited a number of different hotels and Air B&Bs and all of them were strong enough to handle toilet paper. Plus some other places that we visited provided signs ( which this hotel didn’t) stating what not to flush. In addition to this the walls were stained and metal fixtures in the bathrooms were rusty. The pool is nothing like in their website- looked green and moldy!! Overall this hotel was below standard that I expected from the Hilton Brand!!

STAY AWAY - HORRIBLE FREE BREAKFAST, No Security Lock, Pool stinks
As a lifetime Diamond HHonors, I am very disappointed with this stay. While the hotel was overall clean, there were many things that just made the stay one of the worst Hilton experiences I have had in 2500+ nights. The breakfast, albeit free, was the worst I have EVER seen and that includes Titanium Lifetime Status at Marriott Bonvoy, too. Scrambled eggs (dried out from the heating), some hot-dog style links in sauce (or a taco-flavored burger dip with beans), pancakes that were best used at a shooting range, and oatmeal that was more liquid than oats. I guess the best thing about breakfast - - - they had a toaster that worked. The room was clean, and the bathroom was nice, but to open the door with the key card was a challenge; it took us several days to figure out the method --- press card, lift handle slightly up then a rapid down, push, open. On the inside of the room, the security bar was missing and there was no way to double-lock the door. The cleaning service found me in my underwear at my laptop wondering if the room was vacant to clean. A local I spoke with STRONGLY recommended the Hilton Garden Inn just several blocks away. I should have because the Hampton “pool” is not much more than a giant jacuzzi without the water jets. In summary - - STAY AWAY!
